Seriously though, don't mind this signing at all.

I was always a fan of Boyd when he was at the Broncos - I remember he used to cop it deluxe in his first season when we won the comp, but I thought the signs were always there that he was going to be a quality player.

Looking forward to seeing him in a Broncos jersey again.

Now shit, let me get outta here before I get fucking razzed for making this post!!!

At least give him a chance, he is the best FB option at the club and those that have been moved on likely still would have been anyway, regardless of Bennett being here.

Without dwelling on it to much, the year he had would have shook anyone, let alone someone under the public microscope. He has confronted some very personal issues in a very public way and it would have taken a lot of courage for him, he should be supported. I think we will see the best of him, both on and off the field.

I very much doubt Bennett came back thinking he would be doing everything for everyone, and he was going to get detracters regardless.

If Bennett had no detractors upon his return , it would indicate he was doing something wrong.

In your opinion. Myself and a lot of others believe that Barba or Milford are the best FB options. There is literally no doubt that when both Milford and Barba are at their best, Barba is 10x the player Boyd is.

But it seems like a 2-3 week stint in 'rehab' isn't long enough to cure it or solve the issues causing it.

No it doesn't, but in my experience going to see someone is the first step in acknowledgement and acceptance that sets you on the path to helping yourself of your own volition.

Only one of them has won a Dally M, and it's not Boyd.

One of them is a premiership and CCM boring boring boring argument.

I like how the Dally M arguement is only used when it suits people.

Barba won the Dally M, of course it matters.

I agree with AP, in that Barba and Milford should share the 6 & 1 and go with whatever combo Milford will get the best out of because in the long run, he is our guy and we want to play him where we will get the most out of him. We also all know what Barba can do, which is better than Boyd, just need to get that spark back.

However, I'm not going to get shitty about us signing an origin level player. I welcome Boyd and hopefully he does well, what's done is done.

As opposed to the journalist award where people like Paul Rothfield make the choice ?

It's the grand final man of the match award btw, don't underplay it. That proves he can play well in the big games, Barba was useless in his only grand final.

In a grand final that is one of the biggest events on the Rugby League calendar and is an award won by some of the all time greats of the game. Try asking any of the players that have a CCM medal in their cupboard that the award doesn't mean much. If you told DCE that his CCM medal last year is nothing he would tell you to piss off.
