This makes more sense. The thought of gee doing anything proactive in regards to recruitment just doesn't add up
Yay! Finally a decent signing. I don't know too much about Tasi except for that massive shot he put on Glenn last year ;). I'm pumped we finally got somebody, now let's hope there's more to come.

Says you. Will hardly be a season saviour but hopefully he can shore up a pretty soft Bronco's pack. It is amazing how a discard from another club can get so many people excited. And those who are thinking that he will be slotted straight in the 17 vs Melb obviously haven't been paying attention. Hook is very loyal with his players and Tasi will only be used as a cover for injuries, he will eventually get a bench spot and possibly get a 5 min stint near the end of the match. I obviously would use him differently as I would chuck him into the fire ASAP. But Broncos mgmt. don't think that way, hence their shaky spot in the standings. Welcome to Brissy Lama.
I think you're right. I don't think Tasi or the club wanted to sign a 2-3 year deal which they needed to sort out within 3 days. Signing for the rest of the year means the conditions of the contract didn't really matter (even $) as long as he plays first grade. Just like you I wouldn't be surprised if we see him extend his deal after a few weeks of playing in first grade, if he goes well.i think only signing for the remainder of the year was probably the quickest way to get him up here without fuss from the nrl/etc given june 30 was fast approaching.
they will lock him up pretty quickly for post 2013 provided he fits in and plays to a standard.
