Origin bolters

I think this deserves its own thread. Who does everyone think could make their debut in origin this year, or those who are an outside chance to get a spot.

For me, Beau scott is a slim chance. Josh Morris is in horrible form and they could use someone with his size to go up against inglis. Doesnt offer THAT much in attack tho.

Obviously dave taylor is a chance too, i think he could be very good off the bench as long as hes fired up, which shouldnt be an issue in origin.

Its also very early but Fensom is definitely showing signs he wouldnt be out of his depth in origin, as is Dugan.

If Gillett keeps his form up and Brisbane start getting some wins together he could be a bolter for the bench as well

I agree with Taylor and i think it could be a race between Taylor and Gillett for the Bench.

I'd say one of the young Sharks props, Luke Douglas or Kade Snowden, is a chance of making the bench for NSW.

The love affair with Gillet is getting a bit out of hand IMO. He is a gun player but Origin this year is a bit much IMO

There is a chance he could end up in the "Hyper That Amounted To Nothing" thread.

But anything is a chance these days and if he shows his a gun in the backs and up front he could be awesome for the bench.

Beau Champion is my bolter, no centres jumping up and saying pick me for NSW and he seems to have taken a step up this year. It's a bigger step again to rep but I think he will get a crack at city country.

Mitch Aubusson could be a potential bolter on the bench.

There's a lot of Steve Menzies about him.

I totally agree that he's not even close to Origin - let me just make that clear. We will have 3 players in Origin this year - Lockyer, Falou and Thaiday and that suits me fine

Someone mentioned Dugan before - I would say NSW are crazy if they pick Patten ahead of him for the Country job. He's got class written all over him and the City-Country game would be perfect for him to show his wares off a little more
