Our new halfback should be

For 2 games ! I think they are a similar setup to milf and hunt. Not saying they can't do great things together but not the complete package imo

Two games??

I can't see Niko lasting the whole year at Half. He's a good little player with his speed off the mark and little short balls. But there will be too many down sides in him.
1. We never seen him throw 1 cut out pass to use Kahu as well.
2. He's very injury prone how many times now has he had to sit out with little injuries. He played 1 full game at Fullback and got hurt so what does that tell you.
3. He never showed us any sign of a long kicking game and that's definitely needed from a half.
4.Niko won't cut it in the first line of defence week in week out. If Benji doesn't resign we have no one to take him off to give him a rest.
5. He is best used on the bench anyway, his little scoots out of dummy half is lethal.
Niko is a favourite player of mine but I think it would be better to go with Bird and Milford in the halves.

How is Bird better at any of those things bar defence than Niko? Moving him to the halves would remind me of those dark ages 8 or so years back when 5/8ths played halfback, centres played 5/8ths, wingers player centre and lesser centres played wing

I think Milf enjoys playing along side Niko more than Hunt. Communication and confidence was way up.
They played together as young ones, and there real good mates. So that makes everything better. Look at smith, Cronk and slater. Best mates off the field and it shows on the field.

Get a load of this garbage. Time and time again we question Bennetts decisions and he always makes us eat our words. Can we trust him a little more, it's not Anthony griffin anymore hahaha!

Yeah 2 games ! Kodi faded a bit, and got pulled in one game .

I think you might be wrong there, pagey.

According to Zero Tackle, he played 80 from games 7-11. Scored four tries.

He did get benched one game where he couldn't tackle a steak sandwich.

Yes but that doesn't nullify his high quality partnership with Milf. More than two games. He and Milf raised the quality of our attack, and everyone else seemed to play better.

*just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting pagey was wrong about him being benched.

Im sure you will find he got hooked in a game. Not saying he was terrible but definitely declined in form .

They were excellent during their partnership this year, really ignited our emphasis on attack.

you mean against weaker opposition ... I'll hold my judgement until the partnership performs against the benchmark sides in the comp.

Personally I think the Niko/Milf partnership is a bit like the Hunt/Milf partnership in that they are both too similar players, and i don't see it being a massive success ... unless one of them significantly improves their kicking and game management skills

They are where they are on the ladder because they have had an enourmous injury toll and they don't have enough punch from the ruck and Taylor has still dominated all year. Taylor is a better allround player than nikorima by a mile. Imagine him behind the Broncos pack. Scary. And it would free Milf up to not having to be an organiser. I have no idea why Broncos supporters want him to be a 7
Taylor has not dominated all year! He was terribly out of form until 2 weeks ago... all the good judges also judged Owen craigie, Tim smith, Willis Meehan, there's about 10 each year that are going to be the NEXT immortal. For me, I don't want my club paying them marquee money on potential otherwise we will be a bottom 8 team. Take a look at the "potential" in the bottom 8 teams and the money they allocate to them compared to the teams such as storm, Brisbane atm and sharks (the oldest team in the comp and the premiers)...

Dw ash Taylor fans, I see his potential too. No need to get defensive about your messiah who will deliver us premiership after premiership if we sign him.... in just glad you guys aren't running the broncos, otherwise we would have a team of potential getting slaughtered every week by teams of proven track records

All the good judges think the complete opposite to you about Taylor.
"All the good judges"... please elaborate how this disqualifies or negates any of my points?

I don't get why people get so defensive over Taylor... seriously, I get he has talent, but it's like he could have a game where he knocks on 12 times, misses 17 tackles and kicks out on the full every play and he still couldn't do wrong. The same arguments you guys use to defend him are the same that you say hunt fans (I am not a hunt fan btw) can't use when they mention them

Crap. You have not watched a game all year if you think Taylor has been horribly out of form. He has carried them all year with the ball. Amongst the leaders in try assists behind a pack that gets beaten most weeks. Nobody is saying he is a finished product but saying Nikorima is a better option is just laughable.

Taylor is a more finished product than what Nikorima is and has more scope at the same time so your last statement of "we would have a team of potential getting slaughtered every week by teams of proven track records"is hilarious. You are basically saying nikorima is further along then Taylor. If you think that is correct give it up because you have no idea

Niko has played a GF (and a good part in getting us there) as well as for NZ. Taylor might be the more gifted player, but Niko is 'further along'.

Silly debate though, guys.

Playing off the bench for about 15mins is a bit different from coming in as a rookie as the main guy and leading a team in most attacking categories for two straight years with lesser teammates than what the Broncs have. If Taylor was from New Zealand he would be their halfback at the World Cup this year. They have had limited options and depth for years in the halves so that is a bit deceiving. You have got to pick somebody. Te Maire Martin even got a go last tour. Siliva Havili has played for NZ ffs. I have no idea how people can say that Nikorima is a better player currently or further along.

I have watched all bar 3 titans games this year. He was out of form until 3 weeks ago, surely you can't deny that?

When have I said nikorima is a better option?

And when did I say nikorima is more of a finished product? You want to pay 800-900 thousand for Taylor, go for it... what I'm arguing here is will he add around 600 thousand dollars more to our team then nikorima does atm or in the next few years? I like a good debate but you are getting so defensive and assuming things that I mean that I don't...

I'm not saying he is responsible for the titans position on the table AT THE MOMENT, but for one million dollar halfback I would expect it despite the team around them, it's that simple. Btw, I wouldn't mind ryan James, McQueen, Wallace and proctor would make our 17 so the forward pack ain't an excuse as others have said....

Their pay packets tend to dispute your claim as well as their overall role in their respective teams. Comparing these two players is laughable.
