What's your answer?
It'll most likely be dce to get first crack.
What's your answer?
cap space to be able to offer Ashley Taylor anything close to a million.
Personally I think when you take into consideration player price, team balance, and a complimentary partnership for Milf, that we couldn't ask for much more than Niko. They will be great together.Even in a 10 million cap, clubs will never have the room for 2 million dollar halves. we have ours in Milford.
what we need to find is another half that complements him well. whether that's Nikorima or Bird or another half yet to be determined.

There to similar to be a good balance.
That is what I thought aswell. They were excellent during their partnership this year, really ignited our emphasis on attack.

This "too similar" thing getting said by everyone is frustrating. If they are both good at running the ball and it's effective why does it matter? Can you have too much of a good thing? Nikorima and Milford can both put away a second rower or outside back with a clever ball and have good short kicking games as well. I don't want Brisbane to pay 1 million for a long kicking game alone. Milford is getting better there and McCullough has a brilliant long kick that is getting used more. That is literally the only facet of the game that ash Taylor is better then nikorima at. Both their defences are pretty poor but I'd give niko the edge as he has defended in the middle numerous times (imagine Taylor in there lol), niko has a better running game by far, they both have a good short ball but I'd marginally give niko the edge there with the balls ive seen him put gillett and Roberts away with, Taylor has a better long ball but I've seen a few from niko that were not bad at all + we have Boyd who is the master anyway so Taylor isn't needed in that department either....There to similar to be a good balance.
I can't see Niko lasting the whole year at Half. He's a good little player with his speed off the mark and little short balls. But there will be too many down sides in him.
1. We never seen him throw 1 cut out pass to use Kahu as well.
2. He's very injury prone how many times now has he had to sit out with little injuries. He played 1 full game at Fullback and got hurt so what does that tell you.
3. He never showed us any sign of a long kicking game and that's definitely needed from a half.
4.Niko won't cut it in the first line of defence week in week out. If Benji doesn't resign we have no one to take him off to give him a rest.
5. He is best used on the bench anyway, his little scoots out of dummy half is lethal.
Niko is a favourite player of mine but I think it would be better to go with Bird and Milford in the halves.

What about this myth that Taylor is better at Organising a team (Milford, McCullough and Boyd are MORE then enough to do that anyway!)? Take a look at the players in the titans team..... then think about where they are on the table, predominantly due to the fact they don't stick to game plans well from what I see despite having a noted great tactical coach in Henry, then look at the senior players he has support from in his spine (you may knock them but 2/3 are high quality origin players), and then tell me he has proven a single thing in this department...
If I'm a tired forward who has been getting belted by Gillett, McGuire and TPJ with bird pestering me and Oates steaming off of kick returns for 79 minutes I would definetly prefer to be trying to tackle Taylor then nikorima... and for me, that's the minute that matters because it's shown this year that this team can stay in any game they want to....
