You know what they say about people who assume. I don't know how passive-aggressive my posts have been. They're quite obviously a response to the year of unnecessary Hunt bashing in every thread that we participated in last year. My slight over exaggerations of Milfords performances this year are what BHQ should have been talking about instead of Hunt's performances after round 10 last year.
Yes, I am serious about George Williams.
Let's not sugar coat it, Hunt was dog shit last year. You're the only person on the entire forum who took it personally, Milford got bashed way less because A) He was the best Half in the comp for the first 9 or 10 rounds and B) He's 5 years younger than Hunt. We've been over this a million times, yes, realistically Milford should've shouldered a little more criticism last year, but as you know, he's a fan favourite and arguably the most exciting player in the league to watch when he's going.
It's not some super conspiracy theory like you think it is, it's just common sense and human nature. It might be about time for you to grow up and get on with life instead of ruining every thread with your sarcastic crap, because you're actually a good poster when you're not being a wank.
Anyway, back on topic, I'm done with derailing every thread with the same conversation.
I don't think we're going to sign anyone that we don't view as a potential 5+ year partner for Milford, so we can probably cross off about 15 of the names that have been thrown around. The most likely scenario is that we have a year of Nikorima & Milford in the halves (Which has potential to be absolute trash), at which point we should have a decent amount of coin in the cap to throw a boat load at the best available Halfback's for 2019.. The only guys who are either off-contract or could become available who
might fit the bill in 2018 are guys like Shaun Johnson, Mitchell Moses, Moses Mbye, Kane Elgey.. And I'm not sure we view any of them as long-term options, more so "potential" players, which we don't necessarily want to partner with Milford, who needs someone reliable and steady to lead the team around.
