He's been shit and got away with it whilst Hunt copped it all last year. Then playing the way he is he still wants a million dollars a year? Then he has the nerve to take our season hostage by playing terribly "because of contract negotiations". He seems selfish off the field as well as on it. I'm not saying anything new. He's not a dominant half and I don't think he ever will be.

Slater, Thurston, Cronk & Smith all retire from rep footy this year, we could potentially have 10 of our starting 13 playing origin in 2018.

Boyd, Oates, Bird, McCullough, Thaiday, Gillett, McGuire - (Fringe Origin players) Milford, Roberts, Sims

I doubt it, buy it wouldnt be the first time. I think we has close to that in the early/mid nineties, but i may be wrong. We'd survive it.

In nearly no series after our formation (bar 95/97) until the mid-late 00's did we have 7 or less players involved in Origin. Maybe not playing every game, but at least one. 2002 we had 11 players chosen for game 1, 9 in game 2 (resulting in the Baby Broncos team vs Wests) and 11 for game 3

Yeah should be a good preveiw of what he has got , especially against ash and the titans this week. We should get the win but ash and the titans will ve hungry .
 
Tbh I can't wait to see Milford have majority of the responsibility. I think it'll get the best out of him. We saw it against the roosters, he's got a god kicking game and can lead a team and shutout a game. He's just got to get consistency. Milford will be 2018 dally M
 
If we sign Bird I think game management goes out the door. The broncos would have to change the way they play and I think it would be all about our attack. No real kicker and 3 ball running halves Milf, Boyd and Bird only not a whole lot of structures used more like play what's in front of you. It excites me really but worries me to if it doesn't work.
 
bird is a different human being.
i remember watching him in origin games during his teens and he was a very very good player then.
there is always a catch!!!!
he beats to his own drum and even at junior level would isolate himself from the other kids in the team.
he started at the dragons, didnt get what he wanted so he left. sharks paid big dollars for an untried nrl player (turned out succesful) and gave him game time. now it seems he isnt getting what he wants at the sharks ( to play 6) so out goes the bath water again and he is ready to pack his bags. the kid can play, no doubt.
but he is a bit of a polarising character.
no doubt cronulla would like to keep him, but same as the dragons. there doesnt seem to be too much noise around in desparation.
as for him playing 6 along sode milford!! disaster. both are ball runners with no organising skill.
this stinks of a smoke screen here, something doesnt sound right.

You're right, it doesn't seem right. Don't get me wrong quality player but it seems to far left feild.
