There is a difference between not caring if Milf leaves and not wanting us to mimic the Tigers or Knights by paying massive overs to a player (even one with the talent of Milf) effectively leaving us too short on other areas.

I'm not too worried about the later happening though as watching the way Bennett has negotiated contracts in the past. He generally offers players what he feels they are worth and if they choose to take the massive coin on offer elsewhere then so be it.

I guess what I am saying is that we are prepared to offer serious coin, signed sealed and delivered to Bird, and nothing as yet to a player who was intended to be our next super star (and probably or rather hopefully, will be).

Excellent post. My opinion of Melb is exactly the same but I don't often express it because most Queenslanders are usually in disagreement. Bellamy, Smith, Slater and co. are a poison in the game and my blood would boil if this shitbag of an organisation were to poach our Milf. I am still confident it won't happen but what the **** do I know.
