Look, you make some fair points.

I don't want to be drawn into a seibold v Bennett discussion as I have been doing my very best to avoid them... however, the last part of this post annoys me. Everyone is feeling more positive having not lost for the past month, that's great. I would just hope everyone could temper their enthusiasm a little by looking at who we've beaten/drawn over that period - 4 of the bottom 6 sides. I just find it a bit rich to be trumpeting seibold as a better tactician than Bennett when half of our 8 wins this season coming in the last month playing against the absolute dregs of the competition.

I've gotta say, even though I don't exactly agree with your opinion, I respect that you can make your point within a readable amount of words. Thank you. Sorry @Purple Pills but that's just too much narrative and only marginally related to the topic. We just moved from a veteran, well and truly acclaimed and proven coach to a rookie so we can be happy that we aren't where we were a few weeks back fighting over the spoon. Bennett was great. Siebold has potential to be great. Time will tell. Pointy end of the season is fast approaching. Band together now and have our I told you sos later.

TBH thats still not potentially a bad washup. Look at whats been dished out by Boyd? Squad changes, 10000's new players who have barely left high school. IF we can equal - its progress.

Glory Glory is a joke because everyone keeps telling me to go and watch Souths. I think if we go 3 and 2 we can make the finals. I just don't see us doing any better than that. I'm not confident against Souths, and Parra and Penrith are decent teams this year so it's a big ask to beat them both. We should account easily for the bulldogs and the cowboys are a coin toss, though I expect we should win.

You are right, this side is not a contender and hasn’t been since 2015. Hope change continues to come because the gap between the Storm and the Broncos just continues to stay as wide as it has been since the cheating days.

Unfortunately the storm and Roosters are entrenched in the top 4 until Smith and Politis retire. I'd almost cheer for the storm in this year's GF if it meant Smith retiring.

Manly showed last week that the Storm are beatable and it's not as if they've suddenly recruited in a whole heap of players after their deplorable season last year (didn't make the 8 or even look like it). Heck, they're pushing to break into the top 4 and they have been without Tom Trbojevic for most the season.

To say we are losing to the Storm simply because of Smith is wrong, we are losing because we aren't good enough and our roster has very little quality in key spine positions. Bellamy and Melbourne have us mentally beat before we even step on the park and I suspect that won't change just because Smith retires.

Run a Bradbury to the finals eh? All we can do is hope. Only need 1 team to fall for salary cap scandal and we will sit cosy in 9th.
