Could probably get him this year if the Warriors get Widdop. Provided it’s not on huge money he would be a good pickup imo. He can cover us if Reynolds was to go down, he can play 6 for when Staggs shits the bed, and it means we don’t have to rush through Mam. I still don’t rate his kicking game, but if he’s alongside Reynolds it’s serviceable enough. I would sign him the rest of this year & next, but that’s it.

I don't know what to say, most of us apart from the insiders like smokin joe and 1910 know how TPJ is in person but from an outside perspective he is our 2nd best player he might be on decent money but you don't want to lose a player like this, I under stand we don't have the players at this moment to take advantage of what he provides but in a good team he can easily look to be one of the best players in the competition.

There is no question TPJ is the most talented offloading forward in the competition, in a side that works well with 2nd phase play he would be a nuclear bomb to any defense.

He’s been pretty awful towards Kevvie in public over the years. I wonder if it’s all show or if he’s actually respectful behind closed doors. I thought he would have thrown some supportive words towards Kevvie.

Who the **** does that? I have never ever in my entire footy watching life seen a leak to the press in the middle of a game about a player being told he is no longer wanted at the club.
Then to interview him and ask him about it right after the game? Are you kidding me?

That’s on club management more than Wayne. Souths look to be managing the transition post-Wayne much smarter than us or Newcastle. I think it’s just so hard for coaches to follow him, you can’t possibly live up to a character like that who has so much admiration from his players.

I don’t think that was on Dave tbh. Parker leaked it pre-game with fox so Donaghy had to respond. I also assume TPJs manager was the person who had leaked the info to Read and/or Garry. Donaghy likes to make press statements to control the narrative, the storm did this a lot when he was there.

He is on track to leave souths in shambles as well.
I said it in another thread, he is a master manipulator and a talented coach and im certain he ensures when he leaves a club that its a club he wont have to worry about wherever he ends up coaching next.

Wasn't it leaked at half time?
I know that the Broncos put out a statement on both their facebook and twitter accounts about an hour after the game addressing the TPJ news, and i figure that was in response to the leak.

And if it wasn't DD who informed the press mid-game, then who was it?

Sorry how did Bennett lose Reynolds exactly? He was vocal about Souths keeping him. Sure he suggested Reynolds should come here but that was after Souths had made their stance clear. One thing about Wayne that probably does impact clubs after he leaves is that he always puts the player first. Obviously this is counterproductive to the aims of the club at times.

Ah ok, yea i didnt watch either so its all second hand info to me as well, and from what ive seen after the fact. I didnt make it through JT's interview of Pangai after the game either.
