PLAYER Payne Haas

Wherever Payne wants to go let him walk once the season is done.
A forward on his price tag and one who wants what he is asking should be the leader of the forward pack.
He played like a 350k forward tonight and he was similar in origin aswell.

Pat Carrigan is the forward leader of this club and that's the forward who we should be investing in long term.

Haven't put my vote in yet... where's the "who cares" option??

He's not going to win a premiership there though - **** off Payne and give his money to Hunt.

1. Walsh
6. Mam
7. Arey
9. Hunt

Thanks for coming.

Hunt is a pipe dream at best

He won't take $1 million to play hooker here when the Dragons will give him 1.2 to play in the halves

He was shit last night, if that's a sign of things to come we need to get him to Redcliffe ASAP.

105 metres, 2 tackle breaks in 80 minutes.

You fucking soft ****.

This is what I thought was gonna happen when Haas made his announcement. We had a bit of a dead cat bounce but I think this is the result of his decision. Maybe his decision is the cause, or something else caused his decision. But something is amiss at red hill.

As long as it doesn’t cost us anything on the cap he can walk. He’s overpaid and his game has peaked. I would also sell Staggs off to phins and try to extend Herbie longer and play him on the right. Neither represent good value and their attitudes stink.

He is exactly the sort of self obsessed ego we've been struggling to unload for the past 3 seasons, and I'm grateful to him for showing his ass before we re-signed him. Now he can be someone else's headache.

I’m worried because I wonder if he’s been asked to play poorly so that the Roosters can scan some cap contributions from us. They are in salary cap trouble and this would not surprise me.

Don't pay a dime for him to play elsewhere. No chance. They either take his full contract or can watch him play reserves for a year.

While the Hass situation has been a real distraction and pretty shit for us, for our management it's not too bad now our season is over.

We basically have 850k sitting there we can activate as we please. If we identify someone worthy of paying big $$ and getting them in the club, Hass is more then happy to leave and someone will be more then happy to take him.

Alternatively if we don't have use for the money we keep running him out and playing him. The beauty of the situation is if say for example a big name player comes on the market unexpectedly on the 4th of December, we can have him out the door on the 5th of december and sign said big name player the next day.

Yes he's not what we need as a club but there's clubs spread across two codes and countless countries who'll take his full salary from us and we know he's more then happy to leave.

I think we just be patient and wait for domino's to start to fall.

Just quietly, I'd like to do what the storm have done with NAS this weekend and stick him in the second row and see if he has more inpact out there bullying the opposition halves and centres.

The big issue there is that Haas is a powderpuff, he doesn't intimidate anyone with his love cuddles and soft put downs.
