PLAYER Payne Haas

im salty rooster teeth GIF by Achievement Hunter

If he goes to Storm this is actually me.

Pretty cringe listening to Smith on The Captains Run talking about it all tbh. Words to the effect of...

"If he wants to chase the money, that's fine but he needs to realise that it will be one of the teams that aren't challenging for a premiership any time soon. If he wants a premiership, he may need to sacrifice a little money in the back pocket."

Really Smithy, really?

The simple answer to this entire circus is it's all about the money. Never underestimate the power of greed. I'm sure the majority of these young players going around now care a lot more about their wallets than lifting the trophy. Just look at Fifita. Do YOU sign with the Titans if you want to win a premiership? Payne's biggest problem is he has influences in his life like SBW and Mundine that you could hardly call positive.

Say what you want about SBW and Mundine but they are both mega rich, and both reached incredible heights. Mundine has won a premiership in the NRL and a laundry list of titles in boxing.

SBW won 2 premierships in the NRL, 2 world cups with all the blacks, and is easily the highest paid NRL/union player in history.

If you want to be successful, and rich, they're not a bad pair to get advice from.

You can have as many belts hanging on your wall and as many rings on your fingers as you want, the bottom line is those titles are only worth as much as the respect that public perception gives them, and I'm not talking about the ass lickers in the media. Is Mundine remembered as a legend of the NRL and boxing by the Aussie public for his achievements? Or is the only thought that enters anyone's heads when his name is mentioned is "omg not that fuckwit again...".

Take away the perceptible value of their achievements and what are you left with? Just the money again. If wealth = prestige in this society, then **** the society.

Moe would be an awesome replacement at a discount, but I honestly think he'll get 900-950k on the market. But if he wanted to come to a good club at a discount like 750k, he'd be a great pickup.
The other one I like out of the list above is Toby Rudolf

With Tino not an option, if Haas leaves the only proper alternative is Mo.

I still think Haas extends but if that didn't happen Mo is the obvious answer, he will be quite a bit cheaper than Haas while pushing Tino Numbers consistantly.

My preference is still to keep Haas though, having him stay with us will help big time with Willison and Te kura coming through giving them a benchmark to take their game to another level which they will see in training let alone the games, If Te kura can build his game off Haas I think he can even surpass him.

How would everyone feel about Payne extending by one year, and then signing with the Dolphins?

Does he play 80 minutes in a prelim/grand final or keep getting a 15 minute break?

Fine.

We will be dancing in the streets & having street parties.

If we were from America we would be firing our automatic weapons in the air.

😆
Because of three back-to-back premierships?
