Yeah what he wants seems to change from day to day, it feels like delaying tactics to me, they seem to keep moving the goal posts.

Broncos become a premiership force - check.
Broncos make him a millionaire - check.
Broncos back him through the tough times and means he can stay close to family - check.
Broncos need to continue to babysit me after I'm 35 - FMD!

He's gone,, he just cant say it till Nov 1.
 
Can anyone tell me where I can watch the recent 7+ minute club interview with Payne?

Everywhere I look it says it's 7+ minutes, there's only 3min of it though.
 
i wish all these ***** would shut the **** up and just say they'd like to deal with it after the season's over

and the corey oates stuff too? is there a reason they think it's a good idea to lowball a club fav at this point in the season? surely it can wait until sept?

Corey isn't even signed for next year yet. He has a PO for 24/25 but I'm guessing the PO is more like you can stay but it's between this price range rather than an automatic activation, so the club has probably offered him less than he'd like and here we are.

Most negotiations are handled behind the scenes and players are professional enough to not let their own or their team mates negotiations distract them.

The problem here is actually the media either trying to destabilize us or just knowing it is their key to a shit load of clicks ... That's why the constantly ask Payne, his coach, his manager and his team mates about his next contract ...

We also need to remember that Payne is still over a year out from the end of his contract, which leads me to my next point ... NRL incompetence.

Literally the only thing that scrapping the old June 30 anti tampering deadline has done is increase speculation from both fans and media. This deadline gave us 6 months of pointless speculation and media articles ... We now get upwards of 18 months of them
 
Broncos should be working with players to be doing a unit of uni study a semester.
They used to have a tight bond with UQ, so they could help players work around dates etc.
Pathways like this should be made available to all our players and potential players

To be fair with AI, who knows what value any degree will be in 10-15 years.

I've looked on the Broncos app & website & the fox app & website. They all show it as being 7mis 33sec, tap it & only 3min....?
 
How do you offer a bloke a job after footy who is only 23? He isn’t qualified for anything other than to run hard, he doesn’t even know what else he is good at himself.
