Guys - Wallace has a lot of potential but I think is a little tempered - maybe that's what he is being told to do. I struggle to remember the last time he put anyone in a hole, but of course you need the communication to execute this.

My biggest gripe is his predictability. I reckon he is the easiest half in the comp to read...

Can't replace with Corey Newman though - his defence is as frail as Lockey's - we simply can't hide two of them. eusa_think

LOLZ! Have you watched Locky this year? His defence has been first class!

Corey Newman hey? When did we pick him up?

Love Corey Newman

So I have defended Wallace from what I thought were unwarranted attacks in individual games and I believe I said that I had not really been watching him so far this season. The last few games I have watched him closely and I do think he's a valuable member of the side. That being said he's not looking like the guy that will win us a premiership if Locky gets injured long term.

So I got to thinking, at the end of this season how would it look if Wallace was moved to hooker? With an offseason's training he and McCullough could become a handy hooking combination. This would give Hunt and Norman the opportunity to fight it out for the halfback spot.

Wallace has the defense and the rest of it to make a good go at hooker I reckon. Hunt is going ok but to me he doesn't look comfortable in tight.

I like your idea gUt, certainly would be worth a shot over a preseason.

I think Wallace would make a really good hooker. i saw him play there in a city/country game (when he came off the bench, 2008 i think) and he looked really good

I cringe at the thought of Norman at halfback. He's not ready yet.

Wallace and his kicking game are joke IMO.

Fucking plus one.

I was getting angry at Lockyer for always giving him the ball at the kick.

I finally watched a Broncos game, yesterday and Wallace is so friggin' bad.

Straight down the throat of the wingers, or Boyd every time.

It's really poor, like.. Ziggy the bag man poor.

I've mentioned this previously in other threads.

Wallace is a first class defender, good passer of the football, but very uncreative with it. He'd be a great hooker in that he'd provide great service, and would be able to dart out of dummyhalf when the situation arose.

Couldn't hurt to give it a try could it ?

Actually it could probably deter Macca, Hunt and Baptiste so yes it would hurt.

FFS people, Peter Wallace has his own thread!

Don't make me go all mole admin on you!
