would not be any better than Norman or Hunt IMO. Remember in RL you need to be able to defend as well as do flashy attack

defence can be taught, just look at the difference between our 2010 team and our 2011 team

but i genuinely don't see him being any better (I have serious doubts about him being able to switch codes successfully) and that is my point - why spend a truckload of money on getting someone that is not guarunteed to be A LOT better than who we already have, that just doesn't make any sense at all to me. Plus I defintely see Hunt and/or Norman (most likely both) developing into great players if they are given the genuine opportunity to do so.

Norman is shit. He is Joel Moon version 2.0

I don't understand your obsession with Quade Cooper draggx, there is nothing to suggest he would be a successful convert to league and even so.... he's not THAT great in union anyway. Considering the coin he would likely be expecting to make the move to league, there is no way we can justify a gamble like that IMO.

Really??? Attacking wise Cooper is just unreal at the moment.

Have you sat back and watched a full Reds game?

I watched most of the reds game last night. Cooper was ordinary. He scored all 19 points but mostly from penalties and he got lucky with his try with a defensive lapse. He missed 2 from pretty much in front also.

I don't watch a lot of union. However from what I HAVE seen of Quade Cooper, there's been nothing to suggest he is as good as you're making him out to be.

I don't know what it is about Cooper, I know he's immensly talented, I've been hearing about him since 2003 but everytime I tune in I see him put in performances like this...

0:46 is the highlight, [icon_lol1. hard.

That clip is, like, 7 errors replayed 20 times each. And they struggled to meet 2 minutes. To say that errors are indicative of his game is just wrong.
That drop that gets replayed for the first 30 seconds is one I've seen Thurston and Lockyer do.

Last nights game left no room for Him or Beale to really shine at all it was a battle of position between the packs.

He was still crap. And I still maintain that I havent seen any justification as to why we should risk persuing him as Lockyers replacement.

And Lockyer aside i have seen more from Cooper than all the Bronco currant playmakers combined.

Those errors all came from one game and I was just making the point I seem to always catch him putting in these type of performances (eg. last night).

Even if he does fail (which i doubt he would), the money the Broncos could potentially invest in him would be returned in spades with his marketing ability alone. There is no doubt he is a high class player, he has the Marshall skill to him, looks slightly more built however.
