I'd much prefer if our club just keeps producing our won superstars rather then signing everything on the market.

Gossip from the Eels camp - Daniel Mortimer has requested an early release from his contract at the end of this season, It is believed the Brisbane Broncos are keen to lure him up north. Mortimer’s current contract with the Eels expires at the end of the 2012 season.

I wonder what position Mortimer would play if he came up here?? My view is he is a hooker. Won't happen though IMO.

Wallace altho an Ex-Panther never really made it as a Panther we got him as a kid not a big name, Brisbane made him that big name player he is (borderline). So i wouldn't really class him as a buy.

If Cooper and SBW were both in our team we could easily win the premiership, both freak once in a generation type players.
I'm not one for buying but if there was a so called "package deal" with these two players then the club would be absolute morons to not consider it, it would instantly boost their ability to win games and be a huge asset from a marketing perspective. SBW broke a contract, he's never really done anything off field, in fact he's a pretty clean player off the field compared to most. He paid 750,000 for breaking his contract, he's not a criminal and seriously by 2013 it would be 6 years since then, big deal!
