We don't really need Te Reo but.. we're well stocked in the hooker department and I'd prefer to give some of the u20's a shot at 2nd row before him.

To me he looked decent, but never anything spectacular. Good on him that he's got a second chance and all, whether he truly deserves it or not is upto individual judgement, but he'll have a hard time cracking the squad.

For those that religiously follow the qcup, apparently he was with wynnum? honest appraisal of how he went?
 
we are not signing Te'reo. He is training with the Broncos because he plays for Wynnum. Don't stress people/
 
Not yet we're not.

If he trains well and impresses over the off season, well who knows? Anyway, my 2 cents above.

Playing for the Jets, did some training with the Titans too.

Can barely remember Te Reo, except for a game against Penrith which we won despite having a stack of players out. I think John set up one of our tries with a quick dart from dummy half but my memory is really fuzzy.
 
Are we really well equipped in the hooker department? McCullough is still a long way off being up to scratch consistently at NRL level (and he's been a half through most of his career, so he's not a specialist).

Hunt would be wasted at hooker.

Wallace would be an ideal hooker if Henjak finally worked out he's not good enough to be a playmaking halfback.

But even then, having some depth isn't a bad thing.
 
Te Reo is not planning on being a Bronco again - just planning to use us to get a contract with Cronulla

he's now looking to follow in the footsteps of former Parramatta bad boy Tim Smith, who resurrected his NRL career (with Cronulla) last season after a pre-season with the Broncos.

I don't wanna turn into the bloke who suggests we buy every player who could possibly be looking for a new club, but it was mentioned with the Inglis debarcle that Asotasi might be on the outer from Souths.

Would anyone consider him if Souths let him go? Hannant is awesome and will be a MASSIVE boost for us next season (IMO we really missed a good quality prop). Tronc does a decent job but isn't something to brag about. Obviously his fitness would be an issue and if he can produce decent form as well, but if he was firing imagine having him and Hannant leading the charge. Would be handy at Origin time should Hannant get the call up too.
 
Asotasi has been pretty ordinary of late IMO. He would need to take a pay cut for me to be happy to have him.. We don't really need more forwards IMO. A strike back would be handy

This will be Troncs' first pre-season with the Broncos and we are usually pretty good at getting our players really fit
 
Depends what kind of dollars Asotasi wants. I wouldn't pay more than $200K given his performances in recent seasons. But then he'd be way better than Kenny who, I think, we saw the best of in 2009.

BTW, I'm not at liberty to discuss the sign on terms or the contract amounts. I'm not quite on as much as Greg Inglis was, but let's just say I convinced Ivan Henjak I could contribute at least as much as Justin Hodges did last season.
