Cheers mate, I believe it has been quoted that all of Inu's contract would have to be taken over for parra to let him go, which in the same article suggested that figure is $275k. I suppose I'm of the opinion we have a fair bit of unspent salary cap for this year and we would be better off giving $275k to Inu for one season to cover for Hodgo than for us to do nothing with it....and we would still have the money available to look at the prop situation for 2011 if and when a real option arises????

I don't want Inu at the Broncos. I'm just of the opinion that the Eels are idiots for choosing Grothe over him.

I think Inu has the potential to be great. We have all seen what he can do and I think we could get the best out of him again. Although, I have never really liked Inu as a centre, I see him more as a winger/fullback who can cover centre if needed. Pretty much the same as Hayne.

275k is a bit too much for my liking though. If we do have that kind of money free then I would consider signing him because it is a long shot that a decent prop will come free mid season... It's not as if we are in desperate need of him though as we have many other options available which could do the job. But what Inu would have over someone like Beale, Copley etc is experience which would be a massive plus for our back line. Plus he is a good goal kicker.

I would definetly consider signing him on a 1 year contract to see how he goes. If he turns out good then I would love to keep him here because I love him. :D I can't see us going after him though, I think Henjak is happy with how the young fellas at the club at the moment.

I read that too quickly and thought it said clueless instead of clubless. haha

I guess disinterest COULD be used there, but the word they wanted was uninterest.

salary cap is said to be raised by 600k in the near future. good times. they need to raise it more tho.

Read a similar thing in the Sunday Mail - according to Searle (Ugh) the big influence on the salary cap in the next few years is the new TV deal - which makes sense - hooray, successful clubs will get the reward they deserve (as will the unsuccessful clubs)

JOEL Clinton has signed a three-year deal at Hull KR – the Mail can today exclusively confirm.

The player's agent David Riolo has confirmed the signing after weeks of speculation over the deal.

Awesome, just what we needed to hear when we are in desperate need of quality props and forwards in general [icon_non

The good news is Brisbane should have room in the cap to keep the young guys.

That is absolute shit news.
We are desperate for some decent forwards and one of our better (if not best based on last years form) has left...
Shit move.... As if let him go

Hopefully Scott Anderson can make an impact this season too

off topic - gut has the best avatar ever!

gUT for prop.

Folau and Union speculation:

"I wouldn't turn rugby down at all," Folau said.

"I've got a few more years on my contract at the Broncos and then I will weigh up my options and what I want to do.

"My focus right now is on the Broncos and then after that I will see what my options are.

"At the moment I'm thinking about playing league for the Broncos, but rugby is definitely an option for me."

Folau, who will complete his second season with the Broncos this year, will be sounded out by a Rebels side that could offer salaries around $600,000 a season to marquee signings.

His contract at Brisbane is for two years, with an option for two more, making him potentially available for a return to Melbourne in 2011.

Standard response from any player really. Right off the script.

Just get someone in his ear that Mormons who play rugby union don't get to name a planet or whatever the **** their tradition is.
