It's expected that tomorrow there will be an article saying we have signed Hannant for 1.2mil on a 4 year deal. (Sorry of this has already been said)

I'm very very happy with this signing. I'm actually really surprised that we managed to sign him for 300k a year if that figure is correct.

If that figure is correct, i'm actually not surprised that we managed to sign him for that. what it does prove that he is actually homesick and not trying to get more money as has been suggested (since he will be coming back for 5ok a season less). Hannant was really left with no choice since the Titans don't have the ability to enter into negotiations with him due to their cap, it was either stay at the Bulldogs or sign with the Broncos. Personally, i think 300k is about right.

Confirmation of the news about Hannant for 1.4m for 4 years as part of a "Bronco for life" deal, although the contract isn't sealed yet...

Welcome back Ben! _woohoo_
Which is about bang on or slightly more than what he is earning at the Bulldogs.
Either way he will be a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee boost for us, he's the best prop in the comp IMO and to sign him for 4 years, possibly longer is absolutely awesome for the club. I'm very happy with this signing :D

350k per year isn't cheap but it's what he's worth.

Bronco for life? lol. If we forget the 2 times he bailed on us

Woo - plus, it's a marquee signing, Ben Hannant, a leading prop in the game, IMO I think that was something we needed to focus on, in the past some of the casual fans have been drawn in by the array of superstars at Brisbane, the more we do to bring that back the better for attracting those fairweather fans whole drop some cash at games and on merch [btw I'm happy to have our young stars coming through, but as a fan I'm more forgiving, I know that other less dedicated supporters would be keen to have more recognisable faces at Brisbane]

I LOL any time I hear "Bronco for life" (or any other club for that matter), but very happy to have him back. No real probs with the reported deal either.

I'd still rather Civo, but still glad we have him back. Does he start next week or next season?

Civo would be great to help bring the youngsters (Dodds, McGuire, Hala, Lui, T. Sims) up to NRL standard, but wouldn't last long (1 to 2 years at the most) and probably would make us miss the top prop in Hannant, who should give us plenty of years, especially if he has now definitely decided to stay put like he says.

And if this means we can keep Setu, it would make me very happy, because he's still young and I think he will become a real gun if he looses the brain snaps.

With Hannant added to the front row and if we keep Izzy or get Inglis (imagine having both), we will be a premiership force!

Noticed that young Wade Graham from the Panthers is a little out of favour. Can't seem to top Burns for a starting spot. Really feel that this kid is worth making a play at with a little bit of overs. He is definitely something special and I think the carrot of a 5/8th apprenticeship under one D. Lockyer is definitely worth dangling in front of him.

This kid is a much better prospect than Norman and has the size to play in the centres to boot.

Big call saying Graham is a better prospect than Norman... $100 says Norman will become the better player!!

I strongly disagree. I would rather stick with Norman and Hunt who I think both are better prospects. I would be really upset if we lost Norman/Hunt in order to get Graham.

Graham is the best 5/8 prospect in the country... I would be happy to sticky this comment. FTR outside of Hannant he is the only player i would advocate the Broncos go out to buy. Inglis and Slater... no thanks. No value bang for buck wise.

Wish i knew you in person Beads so we could shake on that. I think you have your Broncos glasses on.

I'm seriously not sure if you are serious or just taking the piss? I'm not saying Graham isn't good but why do you think he is as good as you say and better than Hunt/Norman?

I have faith in Norman, he is more likely to develop into a great player. Graham on the other hand will go nowhere at Penrith.

Did you watch the way Norman played against Melbourne?? He killed it at half back and he is only 18. Graham has been in 1st grade for three years and hasnt shown anything for me to get excited about.

Make no mistake Wallace, Norman & Hunt are the future of the Broncos when Lockyer pulls up stump.

I will be seriously pissed off if we lost either Norman and Hunt because they are future rep players.
