Noticed that young Wade Graham from the Panthers is a little out of favour. Can't seem to top Burns for a starting spot. Really feel that this kid is worth making a play at with a little bit of overs. He is definitely something special and I think the carrot of a 5/8th apprenticeship under one D. Lockyer is definitely worth dangling in front of him.

This kid is a much better prospect than Norman and has the size to play in the centres to boot.

Did you watch the way Norman played against Melbourne?? He killed it at half back and he is only 18. Graham has been in 1st grade for three years and hasnt shown anything for me to get excited about.

Make no mistake Wallace, Norman & Hunt are the future of the Broncos when Lockyer pulls up stump.

I will be seriously pissed off if we lost either Norman and Hunt because they are future rep players.

Just to add a couple of thing's

does anyone see a young Darren Lockyer in Corey Norman??????? He is a left footer, exact same build as Locky and what do you know he can play full back and halfback, 5/8.

I know im probally getting ahead of myself but just wanted to know what people think?

You know I said the same thing. This kids got talent

I said as much prior to the first round when he came out and killed it.

Graham is much better than Norman. Norman isn't bad and i'm interested to see how he develops but Graham has him covered quite easily. Anyone who suggests otherwise has problems...

Frankly I don't rate your assessment of players, considering you think Hunt and Norman are basically useless, yet a bloke who can't crack the Panthers first grade side is better.

I do rate Graham, the kid has got talent...but to say he has more potential than Norman? Gees Norman is the most exciting prospect I've seen since Lockyer (I personally don't like to draw comparisons between the two in regard to how he will turn out) but seriously just the fact Norman has been mentioned in the same breathe as a young D. Lockyer says he's got tonne more potential than Graham.

m1c also advocated signing Michaels ahead of Boyd, and we all know how that one turned out. [icon_wink

I would've agreed in 2008, but Wade's stint in first grade has stunted him.

He's still a top prospect but he has some ways to go to reclaim his status as one of the game's most exciting prospects.

I think people should cool the Lockyer/Norman comparisons otherwise the media will get it, run with it like the dickheads they are, then Norman will fizzle out as a nuffy.

But yes, very promising player we should be looking to retain and develop.

+1

It's like so many halfback options at the Broncos crashed and burned under the weight of Allan Langer's legacy.

Do not heap a champion, a legend's career on the shoulders of an 18 year old rookie.

Agree 100% with you coxy

Regards to the Norman vs Graham thing, what a joke.

IMO Norman will always be a better player then Graham for a numer of reason

1 - Graham was thrown into a pivitol position at such a young age in a substandard team with a substandard partner in the halves. He did well for a while but dropped off big time. Dont think it would of done the conferdance any good at all. Graham has three years on Norman and hasnt shown anything near what Norman has shown in the couple of games he has player. Graham cant even beat Burns to the 6 jersey and i rate Burns as much as i rate NSW's being a chance to win Origin this year 0.00000000%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 - The Broncos have the depth to play Norman with either Lcokyer or Wallace if either were injuryed. Both are rep players and can take the pressure off Norman in a game. Norman also has the oppurtunity to learn from one of the best players in modern history being Lockyer not to mention langer. Lockyer + Langer + wallace isnt a bad trio to have an apprecticship under.

To finish off, Norman is 18 he is going to make mistakes but when he does we need to stick with him. For an 18 yr old kid to show the courage and skill he has in the 5 or 6 games he has played is a big +++++++++++ for the Broncos.

Like people have mentioned, as long as the hype doesnt get him he will be a future star for then Broncos. _woohoo_

Never said either were useless. Norman has shown hes a capable player and I think he has more of a chance of succeeding in the halves than Hunt. I've always preferred Hoffman to him at the back even when it was the unpopular opinion on here. Just because I don't put on my Broncos glasses and join in the circle jerk over the current flavor of the month doesn't mean I don't rate him. I just think Graham is much better.

On Hunt, I just tried to calm down the masses who thought he was the next Andrew Johns. Said he was solid and that we shouldn't expect too much more from him than that. Please tell me how that wasn't an accurate assessment from what we have seen from him in the number 7 to date?

Corey Norman : Date of Birth : 3 February, 1991.
He is NINETEEN.. Halfway to 20

Oh...well in that case, hurry up and be Lockyer you lazy git, Norman! You're 19 you should be the world's best player already! :P

Point still stands.

We're signing Ben Hannant.

That's about it really.

That and Tate wanting to return and Izzy possibly extending his stay after looking like a escapee.

He's not worth it, it means he will take a big chunk out next year when we need to secure the young talent. If you don't pay them what they deserver, they might not stay.
