Before they changed the judiciary penalties last year ... a grade 3 shoulder charge would have meant a 6-8 week suspension, easily
True... but cant have guys like JWH or NAS spending that much time off the field suspended so the change was definitely needed... it was mostly a change for 'the fans'Before they changed the judiciary penalties last year ... a grade 3 shoulder charge would have meant a 6-8 week suspension, easily
Start it in QLD to make all the southerners **** off back to where they came fromWe're 2 and 0, so....... worldwide pandemic on the way??
and yet brandy and blockers opinion just now is drinkwater is unlucky to get 3 and should be less.
blocker is an idiot so you can forgive him but im so sick of brandy and his stupid bias. if that was a penrith player he would be pushing his agenda to give minimum 8 weeks.
pathetic.
Anyone who wants them to take into account the injury is a deadshit. What do we get out of it other than rubbing it in the cows face. If that’s the way you want the NRL to go forward it will do us a lot more harm than good. As a matter of a fact it will do everyone more harm than good cause you will cop the punishment and every other team will benefit. Firstly I don’t think it’s even remotely 6 weeks so that’s the first thing and secondly it was nowhere near as bad as pats tackle last year which was horrible and you all carried on like two bob watches that it shouldn’t be a suspension or far less of a suspension. Drinkwater is unlucky that Corey broke his jaw otherwise he wouldn’t get a week and rightfully so. 0 force, complete accident and he was on one foot. All force was brought by Corey and if that tackle was made on the 50 metre line and Corey didn’t break his Jaw nobody would mention it. For mine Hiku’s tackle was worse and even Taupau’s was worse but the injury brings the headline. I won’t be popular at all for this opinion but I think it’s really rough.Yeah, thats just ridiculous by them. Its at least a 5 or 6 week ban considering the injury.
all a player has to do is come reeling out of a tackle holding his head and it will likely trigger an independent HIA anyway… player gets a 10 min break, passes HIA and returns to the field.
I'm glad you explained this to me, now I feel lucky Corey didn't cop a charge for breaking his own jaw and millking the situation. On the contrary at the end of the day his action did cause serious harm and also when players act like ***** for months on end about life long health care from the NRL with League associated injuries I think no player can complain about the suspension they get after that ploy.

the Oberon treatment
But he isn’t the sole reason for the break. Yes his tackle was high but Corey brings the force. 3-4 is an atrociously long time for a tackle with no force for someone with no record. I get that the fact that he broke his jaw might be to hard to not influence the MRC’s decision but it’s not a suspension worthy tackle it’s a suspension worthy outcome and when that happens we as a game find ourselves in a real pickle.I think the fact it was Drinkwater who doesn't have much of a record is what will save him from missing a huge stint out of the NRL, 3-4 weeks isn't that big of a deal when you break a guys jaw.
Hope so. Keep our players during origin period is great but yeah Tuilagi isn't even in the same league. What was Billy slater smoking when he chose tuilagi over Oates for origin. Watch him pick Coates no matter how well Oates plays once he's back
