After Walsh scored the last try a dragons player landed on the same leg Walsh grabbed at. I don't know if it was cramps, looks more serious.
This is where the broncos should have kicked up a stink with ref. It very well could have been an 8 point try.

Oates was hit last year after a try by fermor against the titans, but we did nothing then too.

Refs dont do shit unless there is an injury or the team starts pushing and shoving and questioning the ref. I hate it, but we have to do it as every other team does.

I gotta say for all the flack he got (and many wanted him sacked before round 1) griffin hasnt done a bad job with that dragons side.
He probably has one of worst rosters in the comp with a combination of rookies and journeymen but they were really good and nearly put us to the sword.
They just ket making those dum mistakes (like we did a few years ago) and we showed no mercy. They will finieh out of the eight but they are on the up.
Yep. doing well considering their roster. Would get messy if Hunt is injured.

Hoping Mam's knee knock is just that - he looked a bit worried after the game (but that could have just been his normal expression too, idk). He and Walsh are so important to our side right now, we need them fit and firing.

That's just the way Mam is. He looks very uncomfortable when the cameras are on him after the game.

It was just a knee clash, he'll be all good.

Didn't help I was sitting next to someone that required two seats but only bought the one.
The seats at Suncorp are tight also. Always have to stand up when somebody wants some chips during the game.

Fermor is lucky Oates is a tough ****. If Oates milked he would've been gone. At the time I was surprised he got away with it. Was a blatant elbow in the head after scoring. Looked awful in the replays and the fact it wasn't picked up by the video ref was disgusting.

What Sloan did last night was a dog act too. While it didn't look like there was much in it or ill intent. Why the **** would you come in late like that and land on his legs after he scored. It wasn't like he was even committed to a tackle or anything. Just decided to land on Walsh's legs after he swan dived. So dumb.

I’m not a fan of it personally and I think despite his good stats and big runs he actually contributed to our poor first half. His intensity and forced plays was apart of the attitude issue trying of trying to score off every play instead of settling in and setting a platform, which Jensen does so well. He had quite a few moments that put us under pressure.

Still overall a good game for him but I think Jensen is just such a better starter and Flegs does his best coming in off the bench.

Flegler set the tone at the 1st kick off .
Used foot work to avoid the rushing defence and made PCM to get over the 20 . He has skills not many front rowers have . Also has mistakes in him .

What was he penalised for ? Tackling too hard again ? Or inside the 10 ?

In rugby league, a possible 8-point try is awarded if the defending team commits an act of foul play as the ball is being grounded.

Do you think it warranted a penalty ? Looked pretty soft to me .

Incorrect. Check before you try to correct someone.

Section 13.9 of nrl interpretations.
Possible Eight Point Try
If a player fouls an opponent who is touching down for a try, a penalty kick at goal shall be taken from
in front of the goal posts after the attempt to convert the try.
Touching down includes:
a. In the act of scoring; and
b. Until the try scorer regains his feet.

It was soft but it could have turned out worse if Walsh's legs/knee/ankles were positioned differently.

Whaaaa ?
Over reacting much ?
What did I get wrong ? I copy / pasted the info . Same as what you are posting .

Get off your high horse .
It was soft ,didn`t warrant a penalty ,and certainly not an 8 point try .

Heard Meninga on Fox after the game and the merkin struggled to say anything positive about the Broncos.
To be fair he's always fairly measured when talking about any team. He never goes overboard like almost everybody else.

Also, he was asked by yvonne sampson whether this Broncos team reminds him of the past great Broncos teams which is just hyperbole so of course he tempered expectations.

Yeah but the reasonably weighted people can manoeuvre themselves to get between you and the seat in front of you, the fat ***** need you to stand up because they have zero agility at all.

The dragons did exactly what we did the last couple of years - remember the panthers game last year - hung in the contest for 3/4 of the match, then capitulated 25 tries in 3 minutes and ended up in a Blow out score. The fans will be saying things like “we were in that game, it was ours to win, we dropped our heads, if the Paix try isn’t given the complexion of the game is completely different” ……

How bloody good to not be that team this time!!!!

Such a lame excuse I'm seeing over socials. Drags fans saying they were happy with the result etc since they were in it for 70 mins.
Just because we piled on points in the last 10 minutes doesn't invalidate the impact or significance of those points. Our fitness and bench rotation played right into that strategy of taking advantage of the oppositions fatigue.

We played like shit in the first half but they got utterly destroyed in the 2nd.

In Kevvie's first season as coach, that was us so many times. We would grind away hard for 65-70 and then we'd just open up and get smashed.

Watching the replay, I'm actually surprised the Paix try didn't go upstairs to the bunker.

Watching all available angles on the broadcast frame-by-frame, I can't find one that shows the ball touching the ground. There's a couple that shows hands under the ball. Looks very much like he was held up.

I think they had enough to overturn that or take another look at the very least, so I'm surprised they didn't. We got a bit lucky there.
