Potential player unrest at broncos?

So I don't actually see how your life story in anyway disproves the point I was trying to make. You are effectively saying that having a fun, taking photos, and putting them on Facebook is a bad thing, and something that Kemp shouldn't do.

You then go on to basically tell me not to assume by giving me information about the other things you do. But you pass judgement on Kemp, based on no information beyond him having a good time with friends.

His personal life shouldn't come into it. If it's a problem once he's employed, then his managers can address it.

look at the end of the day it's everyone choice at how they live their lives and or depict them on facebook ... Denan Kemp isn't the most successful or famous footballer going around but he sure has done some pretty amazing things nonetheless that the average man would love to have done.

Just think it pays to be a bit smarter nowadays in how you project yourself to the world on those social media platforms.

Yeah fair enough, sorry bullshark

unrest is primarily surrounding Ben Hannant, clearly evidenced in photo taken today, where nobody wanted to sit next to him on the boat

LOL Bronco Bob. Pretty sure that was sarcasm from noisetheory. :winky:

Let's avoid getting personal people. Everyone is entitled to an opinion...

Re Kemp, as a public figure, he has to understand his private life will be scrutinised. Whether that should happen or not is beyond the point.

I have no problem with him having fun, and I'd hazard a guess that all of us have looked like he does in these pics at some point of our lives.
However, there is something called perception, and his public Facebook profile makes him look like a shallow young man only interested in partying.
It's not about the fact that he has photos of him partying and getting wasted with friends, it's that practically all the photos are of him partying and getting wasted with friends. He needs to show another side of him if he's going to show a public profile.

Nowadays it is normal procedure for prospective employers to look at the Facebook profiles of applicants, to get a snapshot of their lifestyle and personality. Let's just say that his Facebook profile wouldn't help him get ahead...

And Kemp's profile reflects an almost washed up footballer having a blast, living a life that comes with working in nightclubs and bars.

Have we all seen what Benny Te'o has been up to?

I think it reflects about 75% of the population who carry on like that.

From my perspective I seirously don't care in the slightest what footballers (or anyone) does in their personal lives, if they choose to project that on Facebook publicly, power to them.

I probably do a lot of things my employer wouldn't approve of in my personal life however I choose to not display it publicly. I'm very much in the camp of separating your professional and public life. For instance I have very little friends from work who I see outside of work because I make a conscious decision to separate my professional life from my personal life.

The only thing that I consider (even if I was someone making the hiring decisions) is how someone performs professionally. I would not care in the slightest what they do with their personal life as long as they're professional enough to not let it affect their employment. If and when it comes to the stage of having an effect on their employment then sure, discuss it then and set things straight. If they don't let it get in the way of their employment then good on them. We're humans, not robots. We should have fun.

I think employers who try to search your personal life when making recruitment decisions are dicks, just saying.

Completely agree with this. What you do in your own time would have nothing to do with your job most of the time I would think.

Who pays attention to anything Gronkfield says or writes. He is a know it all hypocrite of the highest order.

I would say all of the time. Unfortunately I know there's plenty of employers out there who are dicks and will try to search my online profiles so I have all the privacy settings on the max!

People used to work all the time before Facebook, searching Facebook to help make employment decisions is just stupid. It doesn't indicate anything about how suitable they will be for the job, past employment and qualifications do.

Something we both agree on, its rare but your spot on the money.

Looked at Kemp's profile on Facebook. Looks like he's having a good time. Nothing wrong with it, you need to have a good balance if you want to make it in the NRL.

Yeah my opinion has changed on the players. do whatever you want, just as long as it doesn't hurt the prestige of the club, damage sponsor relationships, always be fit to give it as much as possible for the full 80 and always try fucking hard. otherwise get drunk as ****, **** girls, **** guys i dont care.
