Potential player unrest at broncos?

Haha this is from Phil rothfield... He has to be the worst reporter going. Nothing he says is close to the truth and he simply makes s*** up.
 
Can't see any turth to this at all. There is surely 0 reason to sack him. He's not useless, the media like him, the players like him, he's friends with the current CEO of the club.
 
how do you guys reckon he has handled the whole 5/8 halfback situation?
 
how would we really know without being there at training, or talking to the players directly (if anyone has been, please let us know).

griffin says everything right in the media. we dont really know what happens at training or whats said in private to the team. ALL the talk coming out of the club so far has been positive (even though you can pencil most of it in as standard stuff that every club is saying).

it sounds like hte players are working hard and there is obviously competition for a number of positions - which imo is ideal at the start of a season. if the players (eg any of the halves) arent happy with that well then i dont want them wearing a broncos jersey. if say for instance hunt wallace or norman is unhappy about prince well show them the door.

I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of players are a little bit uneasy with what's gone on but I doubt it's anywhere near what it was under Henjak.

I must admit, I'm worried at our player retention and recruitment at the moment. I liked that we signed the bulk of our players and can't fault letting Beale & Te'o go - a shame but can't sign them all, not at the price they wanted anyways. However, I don't like how we just let Frei go, I'm still not satisfied with the story given for releasing Gagai & these murmurs of letting Copley, Hunt & Baptiste go are grating on me. Especially when we're replacing them with the likes of Stagg, J. Wallace, McLean, Slyney & Capewell - utter scraps.

It's not really an issue at this time but if it isn't mended quickly it will be.
 
I think something is going on. Hope I am wrong because there isn't many options out there if we need a new coach.
 
Rugby League Week also speculated that Hook would be the coach to go this year. Although the suggestion had nothing to do with player unrest, it was more a prediction if we had a poor start to the season.

Ask m1c I'm sure he knows the in depth detail of the relationship between Hook and the players.
 
Heard a few things about specific players not really liking him.

But, obviously, it wouldn't be enough to get him sacked at this point. Although, if the club racks up a few losses in row, strange things can happen.
 
I hope the club is patient, yes somethings appear a little suspect but let's give the man some time to right some wrongs before we think of punting him for some nuff nuff like Brian Smith.

Do you know what players specifically?
 
There were players who didn't like Wayne Bennett too. Wally Lewis for one. I hope the club shows the same guts as it did then.

Totally agree. If these are unhappy players are the halves that don't like a bit of pressure and competition then show them the door. If Norman is having a cry cos the coach is no longer patting him on the back for dishing up crap, then take the offer from the eels and throw your career away
 
IMO if some players don't like you as a coach you are doing your job. Just ask mooks how successful being bros with all the players is.
 
2 coaches in 3 (I think) years who have been under a cloud of 'player unrest.'

Maybe the players just need to harden the **** up a bit and not be prima donnas?
 
I agree, take a spoonful of cement and just win.
