It would arguably be sensational if they were running a C and a VC, but even then you'd imagine Capewell would be first cab off the rank.
Carrigan would be my pick in that situation personally, but hardly sensational.

Capewell was captain when Reynolds didn't play... even if Patty was in the team... like round 1 last year.

We could do that, but I'm ok with him not having any extra burdens at this stage... he's still pretty young/inexperienced and should be focussing on his game rather than everyone else's as well.
The year before Reynolds retires would be a good time to chuck a VC on him... that could be next year or 2yrs away.
May not be a great look having him named as VC for 2-3yrs before taking the reigns.

Based on that every time a club has opted to go with a sole captain and not a joint captaincy then someone was "sensationally snubbed" but we've never read about it until now, because it's the Broncos and people eat it up when it's Broncos related
