Swepson has become an absolute gun this season, he is bowling grenades but the wicket of Liam Scott was an absolute shocker from the umps.

To be fair, he was out plumb first ball and given not out but his LBW, he basically middles it into his pads. It went at almost right angles into his pad.

20 wickets in the first 2.5 matches for Swepson, he's on record pace at the moment.

Maybe a little bit early to be talking records, but here are the numbers -

Most wickets in a Shield season:

Colin Miller (97/98) - 67 in 11 matches
Shaun Tait (04/05) - 65 in 10 matches
Chaad Sayers (16/17) - 62 in 11 matches

Swepson certainly has an opportunity to get in the ballpark, will need to average 2.8 wickets per innings for the remainder of the season to match Miller.

Yep probably for the last batting spot, there aren't many going better than him outside the actual top 6 (minus Burns) and Pucovski + Green.
