Periera was outstanding today, even without the tries he was great. But what a great example of winger tries.

Bulldozing over your opposite for a try
Running 100m off a scrum
Inside run on the opposite side to score.

It's the three most perfect winger tries.

Toowoomba needs to look at halves in the off-season. They've scored 20 plus five times and lost.

They can score points but just can't organise themselves.

wouldn't that be a defensive issue, rather than a halves issue

They don't control the tempo of games; they scored the first two tries yesterday and from there they just become frantic in their approach in attack and defence. They need someone in the halves who can control when and where and who gets the ball and why and let everyone keep their head.

They are like an Under 16 team, they play with too much going on. They seem to do it every week.

Sounds like a good hooker rather than a half is required .
Halves only touch the ball in the opposition half or last tackle .

The hooker is the one directing the play in the defensive half . Halves are standing around scratching their balls . I don`t see too many halves pushing forwards into positions or saying this is your ruck when the ball is in the defensive end .

I actually thought Clydesdales hooker was pretty good? What's his name @1910, was it Timms or something?

It just felt like they had one half doing all the work for them yesterday.

Yeah came from Redcliffe, he's only 18 and played Colts last year. His brother is still at Dolphins in Colts.

He's had a good year.

Toowoomba have gone with McGrady and Duggan in the halves and they don't have a lot of experience-22 Cup games isn't much.

You add in a Guy Hamiliton or Josh Rogers and that team wins another four games.

They don't give away a lot of penalties, they have the leading try scorer in the competition and their pack is strong. I just feel like they need a 100 game Cup player in the halves to fix these crumbling efforts.

Rogers is a good example- 76 Cup games.

All the Broncos out on Saturday, Tweed in good form up against Weaver and Sexton.

Kicked well, scored two tries and contributed 22 points.

Even when Tweed scored two tries in six minutes, Rogers scores next and stabilises.

What did Toowoomba do- score two and then let Souths score five.

Maybe the Bulldogs' 15 year curse has spread to their feeder side.

have to feel for him tbh. playing his best footy but has plenty in front of him for various reasons bit like Hoeter. both are so much better than other teams are carrying in A grade. nice for us though. our 3rd and 4th at moment ate better than some starters

Mozer v Politoni- top the table game.

Politoni is one of the best hookers ever in Cup- two premierships two team of the year.

He's a lot more physical than Mozer and this will be good for him.

Te Kura v the Bears today- I thought he looked very flat last week and maybe tiring. He only got 21 minutes off the bench but back to starting today.

Bears are ruthless and last time he played him they ripped him apart. That was only his third game last season, and he was back in Colts not long after so 12 months on how we are progressing.

FIrst try on the back of a penalty Souths get down into good ball- Mozer dummy half 5m out, Shapes to the open but comes back to the blind with the ball in two hands- he has eyes for Hamiliton.

Dummy and go between Polotoni and Hamilton to score. He was getting at Hamilton- the rucks before he wanted him. Mozer locked on to the weakness and worked it the whole set. I like he did it himself and didn't just send Te Kura at him.

Second- 2m out under the posts, Bears only have eyes for Te Kura- Mozer just dummies and dives over under the posts.

Mozer lined up Te Kura twice that set once went out the back and the other went himself. Bears had done their homework they knew he uses Te Kura a lot. They just forgot that Mozer can run too.
