Hunters: 4 wins from 5 at home this season. 1 win and 1 draw (Magpies) from 7 away.Paix, Arthars, Sailor and Pereira not going to PNG.

I'd love the QRL to make it mandatory that all Queensland cup teams had to affiliate with Queensland clubs. What if the Q Cup was working with QLD NRL clubs to better those teams specifically? Maybe there would more Queenslanders to pick for Origin every year? What if the Clydesdales weren't affiliated with the Bulldogs or Melbourne actually had Victorians in their system after 25 years? What if PNG players were being filtered into already established NRL clubs instead of putting a team in Cairns that claims to be from PNG? What if Queensland NRL clubs worked with coaches from their affiliates in an attempt to improve the coaching ranks throughout the NRL? Or, what if QLD NRL clubs had the Penrith Panthers NSW Cup team as their affiliate? Seems fair.
Brisbane Broncos- Souths Logan Magpies, Ipswich Jets, Western Clydesdales, Wynnum Manly Seagulls, Brisbane Tigers,
North QLD Cowboys- PNG Hunters, Mendi Blackhawks, Mackay Cutters, Northern Pride,
The Dolphins- Redcliffe Dolphins, CQ Capras, Norths Devils, Sunshine Coast Falcons,
Gold Coast Titans- Tweed Seagulls, Burleigh Bears
With the Magpies practically our de-facto reserve grade team, he kind of already is. But it's always seemed inevitable he'll move across to an assistant coach at some point.A future Broncos coach?
A future Broncos coach?
Is there a reason for this
Lots of "what ifs" flying around in here. Here's another one.. if Melbourne didn't cheat the cap, where would they be now?

It's been great to watch. Souths did a great job of fixing coming last- they decided the coach was better suited to admin so he's now CEO and Hunt was promoted to coach from Under 18.
They identified the type of players needed and attached names to those attributes and went out and got what they needed.
Then fixed the football, they have halved their defence from 30 points a game to 16 and their attack is outstanding- they can just blow teams away. Last week it was 10-10 against the Bears and then 30-10 at half time.
Plenty would argue yeah but they get four Broncos every week that helps- they had them last year too and were getting beaten 72-0.
Pereria has improved, Sailor is a bit safer- pretty sure he doesn't save that try against the Warriors last season. Bayliss is playing his best ever Cup.
I’m sure they don’t, still makes for an interesting dynamic though given phins have their own cup side.Norths won a Grand FInal and didn't have any Broncos.
You don't sign these deals for the two players you may get.
Well, it could be relevant. Who knows what would have happened if Storm played by the rules. Maybe Smith or Slater are picked up by the Broncs after Storm have to let someone go to remain cap compliant around 2004, 05 or so. Maybe we pick up a few more premierships, the place is much more stable. All of a sudden the last twenty years are pretty sweet. Who knows? Not relevant in 2001 and development and set up and success of set up or feeders.
They did well, but how much of that success can be put down to simply having a foot in Brisbane? Did Brisbane even have the power to lock up all the QCup clubs? Would it even benefit the competition or would it have just led to a weaker product?I understand they weren't Norths juniors, but Storm did very well out of the whole Norths set up and that whole post 2000 cohort set the Broncos back 20 years- they are still paying for it.
