Q-CUP Queensland Cup 2023

Commentators giving Mozer a big rap. Next "Cameron Smith" 😆
 
Jock Madden hasn't had much of a year. He hasn't won a game all season, in either the QCup or NRL. The Devils have won 4 games this year, all without Jock. He did, however, play in their 2 draws.

The Devils' win today without him is their first since Round 10, when Jock played in the Broncos loss to the Panthers. Their biggest win of the season was against the Pride as Jock steered the Broncos in a loss to Souths.

You would expect so.

I don't think a universe exists where Billy would be "working on his game" back in the Cup while two other hookers are turning out in first grade, so I expect Smoothy will get another week or two, then Mozer, and then whoever the dice picks - including Paix - gets to pair with Billy in the finals.

I do hope Kevvie gives them a decent stint and not the 20 minutes he gave to Smoothy last week.

4/6 Te Kura tries have come from it this year and 3/4 off Mozer and one-off Eggerling. Te Kura dropped it over the line against the Pride so could have been 5/7.

Plus, one for City in 21 off Mozer.

His only other Cup try was against Souths last year and was running wide on the left. So 4/7 Cup tries have been off this one move an in total he's probably run 10m to score all four.

It's been given a name by the Souths' boys!

Might have to give Mozer a few minutes in NRL this season just to try this play with Patty to avoid another nudie run

I think Smoothy was really solid on debut. A bit of a rush to the head early with that hero play but he probably learned a lesson pretty fast from that one. His service is so good and his defence is at least as good as Paix’s. I’m hopeful he gets an extended run.

Smoothy was better than Mozer last night. Clearner, threw a nice pass for Page-Wilson's try and didn't miss a tackle- topped the count again with 43.

Mozer still has errors and that polish missing, two dropped balls, three missed tackles.

I still have Smoothy ahead.
