Q-CUP Queensland Cup 2023

4/6 Te Kura tries have come from it this year and 3/4 off Mozer and one-off Eggerling. Te Kura dropped it over the line against the Pride so could have been 5/7.

Plus, one for City in 21 off Mozer.

His only other Cup try was against Souths last year and was running wide on the left. So 4/7 Cup tries have been off this one move an in total he's probably run 10m to score all four.

It's been given a name by the Souths' boys!

Tesi back in Cup this weekend. He's one to watch.

Madden gets his first (narrow) win of the season. Meanwhile, Norths minus Madden thrash the table topping Magpies minus Mozer (Paix and Luke).

Nothing positive today for Souths, from the third minute when they drop out short and no one gets on it and Norths score untouched.

Paix played 27 minutes and why Hunt went with three hookers and coaching staff at that I don't know.

I am hoping it's just a reality check because Souths looked 2022 and Norths looked 2022 too.

Wynnum were just as bad first 20 minutes but difference was they regrouped and found a way.

Madden and Rogers took control.

Madden's great pass for Gela-Mosby, Madden great kick for Rogers try, Mariner fantastic run to score- what a great individual try- could have passed but when you have his speed and skill just take the fullback on and leave him with nothing. Frustrating thing with Mariner is he does that but then later stands there and watches while Dolphins dive on the ball with no Wynnum dummy half.

Rogers and Madden combined again for Madden's try.

They're crediting Wynnum's whole backline with 100 plus metres bar Rogers who was 95m. That was the key the backs got them forward and took chances.
