Q-CUP Queensland Cup 2023

Mozer great hookers try, Toowoomba markers not even facing the right way- takes off to the right comes back big fend round the fullback and runs 30m to score.

Great green light run.

Sounds like Mozer is having a day out... although I don't think the Clydesdales are going that great this year are they?

Good to see that he is starting to increase his attacking output and potentially increasing his ownership of the attack at that level.

Really honourable draw by Blackhawks. Down to 12 in the first minute with a send off and they did well from there.

Duffy is getting better. He controlled it from there and kicked well and early.

Feldt playing Cup.

No Toowoomba are not having a great year but Mozer's attack is improving all the time. He knows when to run now and is confident enough to do it.

Last four games he's found a good mix- the Bears game was a turning point. I want to see him get picked for Qld and make up for last year. He didn't play well at all and I think bit of redemption is needed.

Be interesting to see his development after 12 months of Cup. I don't have much doubt Ballin picks him.

If I am Ballin I am going Mozer starting and Satrick on the bench for impact. They could be great together. LIke Mozer and Bryant were at Tweed.

Be very tempting to give him his debut against the dogs

As I said last night, I think that would be unfair to take a Queensland jumper off him or make him debut two nights after a State game.

He will be in camp all week and not at training. Far from setting him up for success.

No need to play him, Paix is injured so if one more goes down, he's up but no need at this stage.

Smoothy can play better than last night.

Alright but that's his (Smoothey's) last fucken go at it...... he's got one more game to shake off that shit performance.

otherwise its time to move Mozer in.

It's not too long ago the hooker experts were sure Smoothy was the answer; three games in we move on and forget we said that and now want something new.

Really shows how much some people actually watch football.

The so-called "hooker experts" did not want us getting stuck with Billy Walters because we could see he would be undroppable. We are now stuck with Billy Walters and he is undroppable. Thankfully, he's at least improved somewhat.

Unfortunately for Tyson he had a shocker last night. I still saw some of the plays that made me a fan of his but he just seems off the pace.

I don't think it helps that by the time he comes in, the team is well and truly on the back-foot. I'm not a fan of the current rotation of playing Billy for 50-55 minutes. It was fine against Cronulla because he was quality through out that stint, but it's been producing diminishing results ever since.

It's a shame because from what I understand he started slowly at the Seagulls as well before he really started to find his feet. I think the same could happen at Brisbane, but we're getting towards the pointy end and teams need their best 17.

I agree; I don’t think he’s being put in very hooker favourable positions and every Broncos’ forward last night suddenly thought useless flop back to him was the right play. The option to Piakura wasn’t right and he made some mistakes but he’s not being set up to succeed currently.

His strength is tackling and good service- just do that. I get the feeling he’s trying to jam 80 minutes into his 15 minutes.
