Just heard from a good source that Reni Matuai, wants a release from the dogs to join the broncos, either this year if release accepted or next year when contract runs out.
Its a 90 % chance he will be playing for the Broncos.
He wants out of Sydney.
I think he would fit in well at 13 when Tunza retires., and surely he knows theres no stuffing around here.

Upto Bellamy I say.

I don't think we need him, if we were going to gone down that path we may as well sign Costigan again.

No thanks - we should save that money for another 6 when Locky leaves.

I heard the same thing today.

But it would be somewhat hyporcritical for Broncos management to sign a player with his off field record, wouldnt it??

I think we've recruited well and should now focus on signing our juniors, and developing them.

I don't mind Matuai. He goes alright. Would be handy for when Carroll leaves too.

**** reni maitua! i would be upset if we signed him.

He would be an absolutely brilliant signing.

IMO, he'd be fairly cheap and would be coming here to get his life back on track. The Broncos are probably the best club for such thing.

The Broncos with Bennett have been the best club for such a thing [icon_wink

Does Bellamy have the same influence on getting the best out of players and keeping them in line as benny has? eusa_think

If so then he would be great. Stacks of potential.

That said, I don't really want him at the club, his off field problems are quite off putting.

Man I'd loved to have him in our side for next year, great replacement for TC.

Yeah I know he's had off field incidents, getting away from Sydeny and living in Brisbane would make him a new man. Carn Bruno!!!

He's a good player but I wouldn't like to see him at our club. Wouldn't create a very good image at all.

Besides, I think we've got some very good backrowers to cover for TC's absence next year.

I doubt we'd have the $$$$ to sign him. after the Folau signing and resigning our off contract players.

Oh please no! Great player, but a douchebag and we already have plenty of forwards.

I'm with you.

I heard Fathead Weidler say it on the news.

We don't need him.

I think a signing like this would strengthen our already strong pack, however I believe it will come at cost!

This cost will most likely be the loss of Hannant, Michaels and maybe even someone like Moon or Kenny.

I bet Kels wishes Boyd was on that list, but I think hes just awesome [icon_lol1. [eusa_clap.gi

What the hell is going on at the Bulldogs?? Karma anyone.

Reni was fantastic a few seasons ago, hasn't been that great since. Wonder if he is just having a form slump or if it was the fact he was locking the scrum to one of the all time great forward packs that made him look better?? Can't really make up my mind on whether I'd want him or not. But if we keep by buying these proven players we are going to start getting a rep of trying to buy the competition. Something brisbane definatly isn't about (and shoundn't have to be with the size of our talent pool).

If we lose Hannant it'd be a great signing, Clinton, Kenny, Taylor and Thaiday in the front row rotation with Parker, Matua, Sims, Stagg and Eastwood in the backrow rotation.

But we don't want to lose Hannant just because we signed Matuai.

I would be happy, great replacement for tunza. i would assume it would be for the same price too.
