If we lose Hannant it'd be a great signing, Clinton, Kenny, Taylor and Thaiday in the front row rotation with Parker, Matua, Sims, Stagg and Eastwood in the backrow rotation.

But we don't want to lose Hannant just because we signed Matuai.

IMO, he'd be fairly cheap and would be coming here to get his life back on track. The Broncos are probably the best club for such thing.

If so then he would be great. Stacks of potential.

That said, I don't really want him at the club, his off field problems are quite off putting.

But if we keep by playing these proven players we are going to start getting a rep of trying to buy the competition. Something brisbane definatly isn't about (and shoundn't have to be with the size of our talent pool).

I agree, especailly after Falou I think we'd start getting a bit of a reputation. IMO it would be better to focus on the juniors over the next years.

good player at his best ... personally I don't really care about his mistakes off field

whether we sign him or not may be dependent on who is leaving or not being re-signed

is Hannant going to the Titans ?
is Stagg and/or Sims going to the Dragons with WB ?
is Taylor staying long term ?

lose this lot and he would be a valuable aquisition despite him not being big

Ooo Reni Maitua... he's a bit of a spunk haha.. broncos are going to have the best looking pack in the league, the way things are going... Can see an influx of female fans.


Either way i'm happy whatever happens. If we do get they'll have to be strict on his outings, and if he skrews it up, he's gone. If he's going to behave himself i really don't have a problem with him coming. He hasn't been at his best lately though

It's still early days with Sims though. His form in the first few weeks was awesome but he's been a bit down the past 2 games or so.

As for Maitua? I'd much rather keep the current group of forwards together.

I would say that it's an intriguing idea - I'm not completely sold on him but he's shown enough over the last couple of years to tell me that if he keeps his head straight he's a more than useful player on any team.

It's been like that with the whole team though, great the first 3 weeks, ordinary the last 2. Wallace and Ennis are about the only players that haven't dropped off.

I'd rather keep them as well. But I can't see us keeping them all. With english clubs courting Stagg, and other clubs looking to pick our team apart in Bennet's departure, we are gonna lose a few. And when we do Maitua will be a handy replacement. People seem to forget what he was like as a player before the entire dogs team ( except SBW ) turned to shit.

I would love him to sign for us, just like with Costigan though we need to sure up the guys we want to retain for next year firs though. A lot of people on these forums bagged the club for resigning a down and out Justin Hodges because he was acting like a bit of a dick. Just like that Reni could come to a new city which is smaller and have a fresh start with new teammates and a new coaching team. Plus I think he is an incredibly talented footballer.
