RLWC 2021 Week 1 Discussion

PNG playing with plenty of energy.

Running hard and tackling hard. Tonga aren't handling it at the moment.

Olam stuffed that.

Laybutt comes up with a good pass to create an overlap but Olam passes it too late and Tonga are able to get a hand to it before Russell grabs it.

That was selfish from Ipape.

Tries to barge over from dummy half but knocks it on.

That was a good set from Tonga.

They didn't get the repeat set but they've got PNG pinned deep in their half.

You can't tell me that wasn't forward.

Koula gets Tonga back in the game with a great run from the kick return to set up Penisini.

But that pass... Very very questionable.

Tonga are the ones playing with a lot of energy now.

PNG are struggling.

PNG very lucky there.

Koula runs instead of passing and looked like he was going to crash over but the ball was stripped. Very lucky there.

PNG can't even get out of their half now.

They started well but they look really fatigued and Tonga are just full of running.

WHAT?

How was that not a knock on by Tonga? Who the **** is this ref?

PNG are really targeting that Tonga right edge and it's working well for them.

That time Olam doesn't stuff it up.

Beats Penisini, draws in Katoa and puts Russell over in the corner.

Russell you idiot.

Puts his foot on the line. You had the room...

And PNG concede a penalty in the next set and now Tonga are on PNG's line.

PNG's defence on their line has been good.

They have stopped a few tries. They're hanging in there.

I would be getting Fifita out there. PNG's left edge is a bit fragile.
