awesome stuff, i can enjoy the weekend now without being on edge lol.

Im pretty sure the roar have a home game on friday nite, so what happens if the nrl schedule us to play friday?

fingers crossed it's a sunday game ... Brisbane could sure use the 8 day turnaround ...

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

I was hoping that Gus & Rabs collapsed during the game so we didn't have to hear them.

Karma got Riley Brown for what he did to Craig Wing in round 1.

Yeah you're right, there's a Roar game on Friday night. eusa_think

Seeing as I'm busy on Friday and Saturday nights (probably won't even get to see the game live on TV  ) I would LOVE it if the game to be rescheduled to Sunday. But I'm pretty sure the NRL would just switch the Fri and Sat fixtures if it clashed with the soccer.

The game will be on the Saturday

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

Guys, there is still a chance we could get the week off. [icon_wink

Which would be by far the best option IMO...we need everyone to get over their injuries 100%. [icon_pray.

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

No I reckon we need the more footy the better, a week off will be the death of us IMHO.

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

Big plus for us, the defence in the second half. The rooters never scored icon_thumbs_u (in the second half- that is)

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

Good game to see. Definitely a tale of two halves. I was ready to strangle Ennis in the first half! His kicks were absolute garbage and he was kicking off the 3rd tackle! Grr...so frustrating!

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

Never thought i'd say this, but Wallace was a mammoth in defence. Countless times he wrapped up the ball runner and shut down a number of plays.

Deadset, the Roosters are hopeless. I have never seen a team rely on kicking so much. It's not smart, tactical kicking either, it's just bomb it to a corner and see what will happen.

I had a go at him the other week nnn, tonight he stood up big time in defence I would have to agree, and his attack in the 2nd half was heaps better than it has been. The 3 (nos. 6,7,9) combined very well tonight and all goes well for the weeks ahead

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

Wallace is always good in defence.

I'm more worried about Hodges' tackling. He got caught in no mans land a few times tonight, arm grabs way too much as well.

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

why do people want hunt to run side ways rather than straight back? If he sees a straight line coming at him he runs hard back to make sure it hurts the defence a bit, rather than run sideways, make bugger all ground and be easy to tackle!

Way to open the other thread then. [icon_shru

thanks nnn for opening this thread, unfortunately none of us admins were on line earlier [eusa_doh

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

Lockyer was solid in defence tonight as well. Everyone bags on him for his defence but I thought tonight he was strong. He made 17 tackles with only 2 missed, which is a great ratio for Lockie!

That's Gold!

Never said run sideways Chris said vary his runs back, use his sidestep occasionally, run straight and hard occasionally, run side ways and link occasionally, at present all too predictable and the reason he is being picked off by the big hitters each kick return.

I think people want him to find a happy medium. Run it hard but chuck in the odd swerve and step to keep the defence guessing.

We all know he's a tough bugger but realistically there's only so many times someone can run into a virtual brickwall before coming off second best. Especially when it's a fullback running into forwards.

edit: exactly Russo

Re: Roosters Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

still makes more ground than most on returns.

And i'll say it again. I hate shoulder charges. Why is it ok to knock someone out with a shoulder or head to the head? Especially when not trying to make an actual tackle. We had 4 blokes in disneyland tonight because of it. They're not good tackles. They're soft. Unless you use arms to wrap up the player, i think it should be illegal.
