although i'd still like to see us sign an experienced NRL older head, like Ryan James or a Napa to help out the pack ... unless we can snag a top tier hooker, of course
What exactly does Napa offer besides judiciary experience? The only experienced prop I would sign is Dunamis Lui. 1. isnt a dickhead 2. an actual leader that the younger forwards could learn off 3. Has big game experience

Come on, really? I’m thinking you might be going off way, way too early.

There is an absolute torrent of water to pass under the bridge before he can be considered a more consistently dominant player than other current players like Tedesco and TTurbo, let alone those you’ve mentioned.

He’s good, no doubt. But a couple of good / great seasons don’t make you an all time great. Just ask the bloke wearing the 6 for the Broncos today.
Andrew Johns agrees with me:

“If Penrith halfback Nathan Cleary continues on his current trajectory, JT and I are fighting it out for silver and bronze. His performance against Souths was a masterclass. It showed to me that, after just two matches back from his shoulder injury, he’s ready to own the finals series.”

The arrogance to openly state that your currently the best halfback of all times alongside JT.

Might not be wrong but imagine any other ex player proudly claiming that title. Locky would never refer to himself as the best 5/8 of all time publicly. Even Slater wouldnt claim that about himself at fullback.

In fairness, he's one of only 13 rugby league "immortals," so for him to say an emerging player could be better than himself is a massive call. I think he's already better than Johns ever was, but there's a certain maturity as players age that ends up defining them.

I’m not saying he’s wrong, I just think it’s a lame thing for him to have said.

Cleary is scary good, and I was someone who criticised him when he was younger. Completely showed me to be the fool that I am. Definition of a franchise player.

Not as vain as it appears when you read it in its original context (comparisons between Johns & JT):

It's funny, I liked Johns as student of the game and innovator, much like Cleary, but I never really felt he troubled us as an opponent. We seemed to have the better of him. Both at club level and Origin. The one who made me nervous was Ricky Stuart, and he gets ****-all accolades as a player. Oh yeah, and JT. **** having him as an opponent.

I’ve said, numerous times, that Cleary needs to prove himself over time.

Quite literally the first part of Johns’ quote suggests he agrees with that too, so not sure what your point is? Did you want a medal or will a pat on the back suffice?

And I’ll say it again; Milford was on a very similar trajectory in 2015-16 and look where he is now.

It's cool you don't agree with me and Joey. You're allowed to have your own opinion.

Was watching Reynolds close in the Rabbits game tonight he went off early but Wayne put him straight back out there after latrell got 10 and roosters seemed to be getting on top rabbits were loosing their way abit.
What a difference one player can make with his game management really looking forward to him next year.
Wouldn't mind Reynolds bringing his mate Nicolls over aswell if we are looking for a older head in the forwards

I know coates is going but the broncos still have speed to burn in the backline; cobbo, herbie, staggs (acceleration at least), isaako etc.

I hope we incorporate this into our attacking plays, whether that be looking to put some kicks behind the line or whatever. If we do this regularly it will also stop defences rushing our backs and in turn give them more time/space when we choose to run the ball.

Looks likely that Isaako is on the way out and Bully possibly leaving too.

Cobbo, Willison, Piakura are looking good. Riki is back on a good upward trajectory and has taken back over Robati in my eyes. Capewell and Reynolds will bring a lot, and hopefully Staggs can stay in the field + Carrigan is back. That shouldn’t be understated - with injury luck next season we have one of the best NRL centres, Halfbacks, and 2nd rowers being here next season. Oates is back in form too. A lot to look forward to.

1. Niu
2. Oates
3. Cobbo
4. Staggs
5. Farnworth
6. Kelly / Gamble
7. Reynolds (C)
8. Carrigan
9. Turpin
10. Haas (VC)
11. Capewell
12. Riki
13. Hetherington

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Piakura
17. Experienced Prop (James?)

It’s a good team.

I still think we are one spine player away from being a decent chance at doing some damage in the finals. I think we'll improve significantly next season, but I still think we'll be around that 7-10 spot with our current potential side. If we can jag a good spine signing (1 or 9) in the off season, then that will be massive.

I definitely agree that we are short of quality in the spine. The 9,6,1 are all far below those in the top 4-6 teams. We really need a Hooker and Fullback.

2023 something like:

1. Manu
6. Mam
7. Reynolds
9. Smith

would be pretty nice.
