You wouldn’t really miss any of these guy but would probably want to keep Carrigan and Farnworth.

Should be able to free up a bit which will allow us to make some big moves come November

Anyone thinking we should make a move on Blake... Taaffe?

But taaffe isn't a first choice fullback at his current club. He looks to have the goods! That cut out pass was actually a pretty great moment in tonight's game.
Others will have a better opinion based on his junior career, but that cut out ball was easily the best thing he has done in first grade and was pretty slick... but to me he doesn't really have the running game to threaten defences at the moment and that was the first time I've seen a decent pass from him.

Walsh was throwing cut outs in his first game with a shit warriors side against the storm.

Had Taafe been able to take that kick return for a try I might think differently, but with a broken field in front of him and the opponent's left edge defence on their knees behind him after he takes the ball I think he got run down pretty easily and never really looked like going the distance like a Ponga, Turbo, Walsh, etc. would... i.e. like an elite fullback would... and if we are looking to recruit externally I would prefer to go after a rolled gold talent like Manu, instead of trying to snag other teams potential players.

We have plenty of potential players in our juniors already

We don’t really need more juniors with upside, remember Allan was looking great last year too, now look at him.
I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's clearly an unhappy player who's not handled moving to the dogs well. He was doing fantastic under a good coach, made the QLD team and did well enough.
Something is off with that team, even Cotric went to shit. Players there are not playing to their ability, not even close.

I thought South's fill in Fullback looked pretty good in the Prelim final, admittedly that's all I've seen though.
Stuck behind Mitchell at South's.....would he be a handy pick up to play 1 for us?
