Oates might not be a winger down the track, but I defy anyone to bet there will be a winger this year who will (a) outrun Uate, and (b) score 8 tries in 8 (consecutive, or close to it, I think) games on the wing.

As far as I am concerned, last year, we had a killer wing combo of Hoffman and Oates. Let's see what our "specialist" wingers - err ... who are they? do this year.

Onto your post, IF we want to develop Oates into a wing....centre and move him into the 2nd row later in his career, then I have no REAL issue.....but to answer your question....

1. AFAIC belongs to Barba
2. Unless Barba ***** up, belongs to Hoffman
4. Belongs to Godges...yeah, I went there [MENTION=1795]Alec[/MENTION]

Leaving 3 and 5 up for grabs. The 5, AFAIC belongs to Vidot at this stage. He's quality and deserves a real shot in the squad....if he's not top 17 material, then I'm not here. Meaning the contentious position is lucky number 3. Which comes down to Copley, Reed and Mills. Reed obviously has the 3 sewn up for now, but when Hodge comes back there'll be 3 people competing for that other centre position and unless my boy picks up his act, I'll be giving Copley and Mills a shot. I'd seriously consider Reed as a winger, depending on his pace obviously, because he's a great finisher.

Its been said in repeated threads, discussed in the injury thread. I figured that if you we're going to rant about dumb selections you would have done 5 seconds of research to see if be was able to be selected. My bad.
