Round 1 - Bulldogs vrs Broncos; Pre-Match Discussion

I probably would've put Reed on the right against the Bulldogs. I think he is better defensively than Copley, and we all know how much of a handful Josh Morris can be.

Did you watch the warriors game. That's how the Parker experiment will go. Personally I'm calling it the Parker debarcle (and I am not having a go at Corey). We've weakened a position (13) for no reason at all.

Maranta on the wing? Did you watch last year? Terrible. Only at the Broncos because of his surname.

This team proves that we learnt nothing from last year at all.

. This is your perspective.

Have a little faith!

If we dont give Niko a go now I doubt he will ever get a go, there has to be some form of risk taking in our selections when we are in a position like this. I know Griffin doesnt want to lose his job but hes contradicting himself with the decisions he made last year. I dont know what to think about the team, last year I boycotted attending Brisbane games until some hard decisions were made and I was happy once they were (way too late but anyway) so I could go see the boys live once again. I feel like I'll be watching from home again for a while...

Edit: Am I being too negative?

hook ruined thaiday at prop the last couple of years and now he'll ruin corey parker at prop. there's 2 specialist props on the bench...

From what I've heard, the only thing Vidot has been doing this offseason is tearing it up on the town in the tightest shirts possible for a man that size.

Not surprising at all, but Ive heard some terrible things about our prodigy #7 as well.

This is what I expect the team to be.

1. Hoffman
2. Mills
3. Reed
4. Copley
5. Maranta
6. Barba
7. Hunt
8. McGuire
9. McCullough
10. Parker
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Thaiday

14. Granville
15. Hannant
16. Kennedy
17. Lowrie

$20 that's the side for Round 1.

I was close..

It's certainly going to be interesting to see what sort of gameplan we have ???

I'm not at all happy with Hoffman at 6, not at all, but I'll see how they go on Friday before I go ripping into Griffin. Hopefully we win convincingly.

One out until 3rd-4th tackle, then spread it, then a high bomb to the opposite side of the field.

Hasler Names Season Opening Side - Bulldogs

Expect to see Thompson at fullback. Former Easts Tiger fullback who's bit of a livewire.

the dogs backs almost look worse than ours.

On what will I base this "faith".

Certainly not perfomance.

Although faith means "belief without evidence" I think you're after the word "hope".

lol

I'm not even mad at our team selection, because bar one or two injuries (Hodges and Oates), it's the best we can muster - that's the scary thing.

I wonder if Moses will part the yellow and maroon sea...

I have zero expectations for our squad this year, it will be an exercise in emotional limitation (though i'll still support them).

So is Inu playing or not?

I think that team is wrong? Inu will be out and Stanley likely in.

Hopefully Mbye gets a run, will be good to see his career start and progress.

Doggies minus Kas, Eastwood, Lafai etc, but still hard to beat at home.

Doggies fans will rip into Perrett at the back, worse than broncfans will rip into Hoffman. It will be interesting to see who plays better on the night, if either has a blinder it will tip the balance.

mbye will definitely play according to a mate who spoke to des last week. will be on the bench.

this is at least some good news, re hunt. i hate when coaches in the past couple of years try to force halves to stick to one side of the field.

“I’ll be roaming around playing a bit on both sides of the field,” he said.
“I had a chat to ‘Hook’ (Griffin) and he wants me on the ball most times so I’ll be roaming around.
