Round 1 Discussion

Roosters will struggle until they finally move Sheck to fullback and either dump Lollochello, or at least put him on the wing.

Yeah I'd swap Mini and RTS around if the right side continues to be a problem. Mind you, SKD deserves a fair share of that blame too. He's been a turnstyle for years yet everybody seems to be going after the out of position rookie.

Don't know many backrows who can leap like McQueen. Not an essential quality, but shows how good he is at the 1%ers and honestly I wouldn't be against him being in the frame for the Maroons utility jersey.

Aside from the right side, I thought the Souths were strong across the paddock. Even Ben Lowe surprised me with his form. I had him down in my worst team of 2012, he's started 2013 like it's 2010. Impressive stuff from the Queenslander.

Regardless of being a rookie, Sheck was clearly at fault in those tries, and even the McQueen try, where he slips and can't get there in time, also causing Mini to have to run around him, might have been prevented otherwise. SKD didn't help much either, but he really can't be blamed for the kid being out of position imo.

Speaking of McQueen, I totally agree with you BP, if he keeps it up, he's certainly worth a look at for the Qld utility spot!

Souffs deserved to win the game, but FMD, it was handed to them on a plate by the chooks with those penalties and atrocious right hand defense.
Gotta hand it to the kid... Reynolds looks like the real thing, and is probably already the top NSW halfback, which probably means Loz won't pick him!

No doubt RTS is still at fault but you'd expect more from your International Test centre than coming up short in two aerial contests and failing to come up with a risky ball and all for the last try.

Apart of the centres duty is to provide a sense of guidance for his outside men - that's why Lyon and Hodgo are so highly regarded. SKD is still very clueless and despite his skills I don't think pairing him up with an out of position rookie is smart.

Didn't want to start a new thread bit who's that eels player who has that massively shit game and ey call it the something something award?

I'd rather them have 12 on the field then have Norman there

Hopefully his ankle injury is a thing of the past so he can get back to his old form or even improve on it.

Yes ...blame it all on Norman. :001_rolleyes:

I can't even blame Wallace tonight.

Other Parker and Hodges to a point......they all were shit!!

edit: in the 2nd half

I liked some things in the first half.....

I don't blame any particular player tonight, everyone was just pure shit, it wasn't poor individual performances, it was just a shocking team performance.

I blame Campbell Newman and the refs ;)

Warriors to continue their awful 2012 form and fall victim to Parramatta.

Cowboys should beat the Bulldogs without Barba and most of their forward pack, but it would put a big smile on my face, if they ended up losing.

Bunch of wankers who're jealous of the Broncos success.

Parra have toweled the Warriors here tonight, 40-10.

Lowest quality game of the season, but the likes of Hayne, Sandow and co. proved the difference.

Good for Parra, something to look forward to in their season.
