I'd rate our chances in 2008 ahead of 2009 - once Wallace went down, that was our season done & dusted.

In 2008 we were hitting our stride at just the right time and had it not been for Melbourne would have glided past the Sharks & posed a much bigger challenge to a Sea Eagles side that could crumble under pressure.

Pretty surprised to see Thaiday named in the 10 TBH. What a cracking side we have. Just need the spine to stand up and we should play finals footy.

Very interesting starting line-up.

I imagine defence may have been a reason why they decided to shift Thaiday into the front row. Te'o is a much stronger defender in the back and McGuire/Sanderson can be exposed.

Happy to wait and see where big Sam attacks and defends. I doubt he'll be limited to the middle third.

Really interesting side (especially for the supercoaches out there).

T'eo must have been training the house down or played really well in the trials to keep Gillett out of the starting line up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Thaiday plays like Taylor did at prop, as more or less just another back rower. Except I don't think Thaiday would sook if he was asked to play a proper front row role.

The wet seems to favour the better kicking side also. Macca will have to be good out of dummy half. If it is wet will be a good test for Norman and moreso Wallace.
