isnt that a good thing?

Definitely, not only for the players involved but the NYC side that generally dips when key players are called up during the rep. season.

The NYC side still looks pretty promising.

A bit silly this weekend perhaps considering there is no QCup until next.

Gives them time to familiarise themselves with their QCup affiliation.

True, having players play NYC is like having Cricketers play Twenty20 to prepare for Test matches. Playing them in QLD cup is at least like having them play domestic FC cricket to prepare for Tests.

Rumours floating around that Hayne could play for the Eels.

Slyney is an ex Cowboy back rower. No frills but pretty solid in defense.

Thaiday will have to play longer periods tucked in with Anderson out, bummer.

One of my partners in Furnishing class is a Parra fan and thinks that Parra will flog us tommorow night, but i think Brisbane will still win as Sandow is not a franchise-changer and is not worth the money that Parra paid. Thoughts

anyone know much about this Slyney

Redcliffe player of the year last year. And I reckon he was the best back rower throughout the QCup season.

Hopefully we'll see him convert that to NRL level!

Ben Roberts / Chris Sandow are the halves. Prone to brain snaps all night long.

Not sure what it's like down Parra way, but it rained overnight here, and looks likes it's going to rain all day as well!

Could make for a sloppy game.
