It'll be a big ask for the Eels for the first few rounds. So many new combinations to gel.
Brisbane will be improved , taking in a largely unchanged team.

@proshenks BREAKING: Hearing Kieran Foran is in doubt for round one with a hamstring problem. @TheParraEels @LeagueHQ1

Man he has some issues with his hamstrings.

it sounds like wally thinks everyone is dumb and and everyone lives their lives in a big bubble

if you are getting your sports news from wally on the ch 9 sports report then you probably do live in a bubble and dont know who eden is.

Really like what I saw from Milford in the trials and WCC, I think he is ready to explode this season and early on as well. I'm picking him for man of the match on Thursday.

Apparently Foran is in doubt. Good news for us. Would that mean Luke Kelly to half? Lol

thanks for the updates fellas... that would make it a given for me if Foran misses out, wait and see really. if he even misses a few runs this week with the team really i think that will have a fair effect.

reading this actually flagged something for me, not that it bothers me for this match so much, and goes without saying id chose a hunt/milf over foran/norman any day of the week... but without hodges we really miss out on a bit of lip on field! with the 90s/00s days so far behind us and gone with them the langers, walters and sailors too, hodges was one of the few who could really get that niggle with the opposition we havent really had since Ennis really. will be interesting i spose

I really dislike when opposing team players get injured. And people are like yay that's good for us. WTF? I wanna shit on the eels with Foran playing!

was looking forward to see kieran foran in his new colours and to see what he can bring. because tbh i dont care if he plays or not eels wont get even close to beating the might broncos

Well there's no point whining about it. Truth is, he's a great player and him potentially being out is good for us. You won't give a shit he was out next week when we're up 2 points and +30 for/against

Reed's been named for Norths. So he's playing somewhere this week.

Is that wise? He's been carrying that shoulder injury for the last 2 seasons at least. It's gotten so bad his defence is almost nonexistent on that side of his body. I would have thought rushing back to play, regardless of where, is a mistake.

I doubt they would be bringing him back early if they didn't think it was upto the task given the trouble it has had in recent times and being named doesn't mean he is automatically in, he would have to pass fitness tests on it and I'm sure Bennett would be making sure he did before doing so. I doubt he will play against the Eels personally, more likely Norths if at all.

Obviously Lockyer didn't appear in all 50 matches against the Eels so that was a mistake, more like between 40-30.

Reed being named for Norths basically confirms he's good to go, I'd give him at least 2 weeks in Queensland Cup before bringing him back, A) Because we don't need him screwing his shoulder up even more and B) Because I want to see if Eden is good.
