Reed being named for Norths basically confirms he's good to go, I'd give him at least 2 weeks in Queensland Cup before bringing him back, A) Because we don't need him screwing his shoulder up even more and B) Because I want to see if Eden is good.
Pre-season injury projections are never 100% - I wouldn't assume he's rushing back just because he's ahead of a loose target made in October. Is that wise? He's been carrying that shoulder injury for the last 2 seasons at least. It's gotten so bad his defence is almost nonexistent on that side of his body. I would have thought rushing back to play, regardless of where, is a mistake.

There are rumours about Jack Reed playing Rd1 but he was running with reserves yesterday. Wayne has pulled out bigger surprises though

What about him? He'll move to the wing next to Roberts in place of Eden.
Actually, I suspect Reed may not get as many games this year as he has in the past. He will have to find some of his best form again, I just think he is behind a few and I don't believe WB will play favourites about Reed. Just my opinion of course and I know WB has been accused of that in the past.Sorry, I must have missed something. I thought you were saying bring in Reed and play him with Eden at wing to see how good Eden is while Kahu plays QCup.
In any case, if Kahu kills it at centre, and Reed displaces him for no reason other than he has recovered from injury, then my opinion of Wayne Bennett goes down a notch.
