How many times was Locky calling for the ball only for it to go the other way, then when they realised there was no play on they gave a hospital pass to Locky & all the time and space was gone? It was so frustrating.

Smith knows what he's doing and leads the pack around better than anyone else. When Lockyer needs the ball he's ready to give it to him.

I did, it was fine and everybody else seemed happy with the performance.

You seem to be the only person who's had an issue with Smith's performance last series, so I ask, show me where he bombed a few tries.

I have an issue with Smith when Cronk is in the team. In the 4 nations last year he would almost always go to Cronk before Lockyer.

That's how Lockyer tends to roll, letting the half and hooker control things for the most part and interjecting himself when something is on or the side needs to change things up.

Point is Lockyer can rely on Smith picking the right option, he invariably does.

No hooker is ever going to make the right decision 100% of the time, just like no player, including Lockyer, is. I know I'd rather have Smith in the team over any other hooker atm though.

It was an exaggeration to say that Smith always takes the right option. As good a player as he is, you often see Locky or JT screaming for the ball in an Origin game for Smith to go the other way. Origin 3, 2009 for a perfect example.
