Those Waddell forward passes throughout the game were cringeworthy. Tried hard in defense though.

I'm bit of a Baptiste fanboy myself but I'd rather see him get a proper gig than play third fiddle at the Broncos. Would love to see a club like Newcastle sign him and give him a proper go. While I think the days of having a Granville or a Parcell around are well and truly over I wouldn't be against us signing another Q Cup dummy half. I remember back in the day Chris Ostwald had some raps on him but couldn't get a gig in our 20s infront of Berrell and Saitaua. I'd be keeping an eye on players like him with some upside as depth players unless other clubs somehow drop the ball and allow us to sign a Soni Luke, Grant Garvey or Jacob Liddle. Who knows maybe Saitaua can step up?
But that's 2017, in two weeks time I think we've got to bite the bullet and stick with Travis Waddell. I'm prepared to accept bazza's explanation that the players were standing too flat and he didn't have the combinations. What concerns me is that he had the exact same issues at Canberra and Newcastle. Plus, he has been training with these boys for two years.
It's definitely his last chance.
I wouldn't be against giving Pangai Jr a run in this game either.

Such a shame that his defensive style is considered a weakness in the modern game. His tackles on Fifita and Gallen were great little man on big man tackles. Too bad it enabled them to get quick play the balls and put us on the back foot.

Not necessarily. They didn't named Jennings & Morris either. And they have Dugan and Ferguson in the test team so I still don't reckon they will pick him for origin.

Nikorima has been selected at Hooker for the kiwis ... I for one can't wait to see how he goes, with the aim of starting him against Manly, we'll still need a back up hooker on the bench to give Kodi a breather not sure who (as long as it isn't Waddell)
I never thought i'd say this, but ... damn we missed Macca against the Sharks. I think our halves rely on him more than i realized. but i still think he needs to speed up his service a bit.
getting Blair back will help immensely, I was vehemently against his signing when it was announced ... but damn has he proved me wrong ... he is now an integral part to our pack ... well done to the bloke. .
