POST GAME [Round 11, 2024] Broncos vs Sea Eagles

Yeah I guess the expectations are too high. "Smith clone" and whatnot. Smith was a regular first grader by now but i guess Paix was once called a "cronk clone" and Niu "the brightest QLD prospect in decades".

He kinda just looked like Andrew Mcullough out there. A serviceable average hooker who never even looks like he wants to run the football.

Smith wasn't too far away either at the same age.

Mozer-29 Cup games
Smith 28 Cup games

Smith 13 NRL games
Mozer 2 NRL games

Mozer was gassed, at the 25-minute mark, he threw three bad passes in a row, nearly got Jensen killed then threw another loopy pass to Madden and one to the ground- Kevvie got him straight off.

Fox reporting that Manly scored off a line ball pass ? Really? If that is considered line ball I’d hate to see what they call a forward pass.

Pies says it was a soft penalty that cost them the game. It was a soft ….no a shit call penalty against Staggs for taking the player over the touch line while the tackle was obviously not yet complete that changed the game’s momentum.
It was a shit penalty against Mariner for tackling too hard that kept Manly on the attack.

What about the phantom 6 agains? What about Mariner being tackled without the ball when Staggs made that break? What about the crusher on Staggs which saw the Manly player placed on report but no penalty to us coz Staggs never laid down like a soccer bitch?

What about Garrick bombing a try by kicking ahead only for it to go over the sideline?

Yeh FOX Manly were the better side and should have won, right OK.
Oh they were missing Tommy turbo they said. Well we were missing Reynolds, Walsh, Walters (3/4 of our spine no less), Jesse Arthurs and Tristan Sailor were also out so we had to move Cobbo and bring in a rookie with less than 24 hours to prepare, but not a word said about that.

That game was so warped by ‘poor’ decisions from the ref that Manly were given ample chances to win and despite the added assistance were still unable to get past a Broncos team running on sheer Kevvie will power.

Such a gritty grinding win against all odds deserves a bit more respect and recognition but what do you expect from a Sydney centric media?
Commentators? More like NSW cheerleaders!

Shit mate. You should work for fox sports. That was the best post game write up I've read! Love it

It took a while ...
I`ve been talking him up for 12 months . I don`t see Kev / Alf / Reyno backing him if he wasn`t capable .
That game a few years back for the Tigers showed glimpses of what he could do .
Did his job well last night .
I thought he was good last night. I dont think that his kicks are as good as Mams though. They just lack height and depth sometimes.

I thought Mams kick on the left side was extremely good. High, well placed and exactly what our kick chasers were used to.

So, just happens I was sitting in line with the forward pass for Garrick's try and was filming...

Some screen shots for you to look at. Only in the last shot does the ball get into his hands, watched it in super slow Mo😂😂😂

Do we have anythign to be concerned about re Piakura on report for a crusher? I didn't see any replays of it.

"Nah I never played fullback growing up (giggle)".

"I played at lock though. Like in the middle. But they made me play it behind the line so I could catch the kicks and have room to run, and they kept making me wear the number 1 jersey, I think because I was like, the number one best try scorer on my teams. But nah I never played fullback".

He was always a forward for Hornets and Wide Bay, then centre for Falcons when he played Meninga.

Then fullback for Wynnum in Cup mixed with wing and centre.
