I agree, but again, the issue is $$$. He's too expensive, especially in this final year of this contract, for anyone to take him on.

What would Brisbane gain out of releasing him and only getting a couple of hundred grand back at this point and still carrying most of the million dollar expense?
I take your point but we've already paid half the years wage.

I dont want him to go but I'm over talking about him lol.

That was classic Broncos. I remember @NRLPhysio jumping up and down at the time and saying that if Brisbane bought Milford back two weeks into what at absolute minimum would require 4 weeks to heal then his chance of reinjuring it seriously was all but guaranteed.

This is why the club was rotten at it's core far beyond just Seibold, because presumably the Broncos Medicos should have been aware of that but were like "Shit...hold my beer, this'll be a laugh..."

Gross incompetence, bordering on outright medical negligence.
It may have been negligence but what if Milford reported that he was fine and had no problems and he passed a few tests? I mean, how can one know for certain what happened leading up to the game? Not saying you're wrong here.

anyone wearing the 6 on their back is simply keeping the chair warm for Staggs, at least as far as im aware...

Milf knows this, and doesnt have the emotional intelligence to put that to the back of his mind and steer a team around on game day...

Ive no problem with him being dropped for good...

If this year is already over for us (hint - it is..) then Staggs needs the runs on the board at 6 for next year to get him acclimated there for Reynolds coming on board...

This is really important, the quicker Staggs can come to terms with playing in the halfs, the quicker he can click with our new halfback...

Momentum next season is key; id spend the rest of this year getting things sorted for game 1 2022...

Obviously I wasn't there and I don't know, but someone like NRL Physio would definitely be informed in his comments and he was very clear in saying that this particular grade of hamstring issue simply could not repair itself sufficiently in that length of time and was basically guaranteed to break down again if he was to play.

That's about as dead set certain as an actual Doctor tends to be and he was proven to be 100% correct, which he almost always is.

I don't know who makes the final call on someone playing or not, but they got it very, very wrong and effectively wrote off his season over it, which would be perhaps an acceptable risk if it was a do or die finals match or an Origin game, but it was just a random mid season match against the Dragons.

I think Coates kind of falls into the Staggs category from last year. Staggs was making a heap of defensive errors back then too, but when you're one of the very, very few genuinely attacking threats the side has it's hard to pull the pin on a guy like that.

We need to defend better and make less errors, that goes without saying, but across our entire backline I only see one guy that I'd be confident could bring us points on the scoreboard with any regularity and that's Coates.
Fullback not part of the backline? Between Coates and Isaako there's 12 tries, 48 points out of our total of 146. Add in Isaako's 50 points from kicks it means that just 48 points has been generated by the rest of the squad.

Isaako and Coates have certainly been the major contributors.

I think Staggs will be a success at 6. Can he pass? I have no idea. Can be long kick? I think so but that won’t be his role, that’s one of the reasons for bringing in Reynolds. Can he short kick? Yes he has shown that a few times already. Can he drop goal? Yes as he does it semi-regularly at training. Can he defend? No but halves aren’t always expected to and this is why you need a Su’A or Capewell or TPJ to protect him. Can he run? Goodness me yes and imagine that popping up all over the field! He’ll be destructive and can learn to pass and kick when needed. But that running and fending all over the place, what a weapon!
It's weird. I mean I suggested Isaako could do all the things you just outlined for Staggs but that was met with mockery. Can Isaako drop/kick goal? **** yes, he regularly does and can kick them 65 metres no problem! Can he punt them?of course, can he bomb? Yes to that too. Can he pass, of course. He's proven it several times this year. Can he defend? Sort of but being terrible defensively like Milford hasn't proven a barrier and as you pointed out, halves aren't expected to defend well.

Isaako has definitely proven he can pop up and can cut through like a knife with an ankle breaking step. So all the reasons you outlined for Staggs hold true for Isaako too. I'd try both at 5/8, why not, what do we have to lose? Never know, we might have two top class 5/8s on our books already.

I think you'll find they actually have 13 tries between them, 8 to Coates and 5 to Isaako.

I'm not counting the conversion points with any relevance because you need tries before you can worry about goals. That's not to discount Isaako's contribution overall, but when I talk about creating points I'm talking about getting over the try line.

Isaako's been good there too and he's actually having a pretty good year, but I don't think he's the consistent attacking threat that someone like Staggs or Coates is at this stage.

Think Oates has been hard done by here.l

Milf is the right choice, hardly touched the ball and didn’t even do his super bombs

As one of his two remaining fans (shout out to you @rnabokov), don’t let him hear you say that.

I still like him and want him in the team, I actually think he had a decent crack in defence on Friday night, but if he’s dropped again Kevvie is clearly done. I’m exhausted talking about him and having him on the cusp of selection is just distracting.

Ooh some of the staff have senior staff on their name thingo😍

I didn't think Milford was worthy of being dropped this time, but it looks like Kevvie is done with him, dropped twice on a contract year we probably wont see him again bar injuries.

Hopefully we never see Milford in a Broncos Jersey again.

I don’t think a 22 year old on a development contract is going to have many suitors but having said that Hetherington is a Storm player. They’d love him.
**** off, Storm fan.. He's ours. Storm can get fucked. They add nothing positive to this game at all
