POST GAME [Round 12, 2023] Broncos vs Panthers

I just cant see why we need to have him playing that long though. Sooner or later he isnt going to be able to keep finding a 2nd, 3rd or 4th wind. I do feel we are running him into the ground.
I think Patty was holding that middle together and he just kept turning up. You don't want to make it a habit and there's been times where Kevie has gotten greedy but I thought he read that well.

I do think Walters needs to go back to the Flegler off the bench. Watching South Sydney, they get so much value from bringing Arrow on after 30 minutes.

I thought Haas had a really poor first stint as well. Usually you can rely on him for 30-35 minutes, if anything him and Flegler over-stayed their welcome.

We definitely need a power running backrower. We haven’t had one in years and it takes away another attacking option such as a short ball near the line. Capewell just doesn’t provide that kind of impact.

Great effort against a good team.
Penrith constantly have a third man late in the tackle that seems to be invisible. It's a big advantage in winning the ruck and buying time.

We struggle to score conventional tries. Without kicks we just can't get the ball to space.
It's something the coach needs to fix.

Not to harp on a point but on what planet is any part of his body over the line?
Clearly promotes himself with the left arm them lifts his right arm and places the ball.

The decision to play carrigan 80 minutes doesn't happen if reyno is playing. Carrigan played reynos role today, madden doesn't have the experience to call the shots. Carrigan made 69 tackles, missed 1, ran 173 meters with 15 hitups. He's superman

I wish we had the cap space to sign Matty Lees from St Helens. He's exactly the sort of forward we are lacking.

I can handle the loss, but can’t understand Kevin’s use of the bench. Leaving Taupau on when he was struggling lead to Cleary’s try. Killing me.
I felt the exact same.
Just couldn’t believe how long Haas’ break went on throughout the middle period.

Apart from the great effort in defence every other part of our game ranged from BRL quality to bang average. Put in all that effort in defence on the line to be fucken hopeless everywhere else and it’s a bit deflating for them to be honest. I can’t see more than 4 blokes playing origin and I think the 4th being Capewell hopes are hanging by a thread. So as long as the forwards role up the sleeves and make some metres next week it hopefully will be a turn around but it’s the toughest road trip and the wahs are in form. It’s fucked scheduling that of all teams we are the ones versing the warriors this week. Roll the sleeves up and let’s **** em up.
We always get the Warriors during Origin and without our rep players normally get beaten. Funny how we never get the Chooks or Souths with both teams missing rep players....

Before anyone “heads for the Story Bridge” it was 2 tries to 1 and 11 points. No Reyno and the boys toughed it out in defence. Never winking the game, but I thought we put in a great showing!
*winning the game. You guys knew what I meant 😉

People will say we can't win without ARey, and to some degree they're not entirely wrong ... but take Cleary out of the Panthers side (or give us an impartial ref) and the scoreline is completely different tonight.

I wish we'd had a crack at Souths and Penrith II with full strength sides, and Melbourne without the Carrigan 'I Can't Believe It's Not A Hip Drop' binning. I really like our chances if we get/stay healthy and have to play any of them at the business end of the year.

Klein was the bunker ref so there is no way he is going to give us a 50/50 call.
