Poor goal line defence (as usual) and then one error ends up costing us all momentum and the game in the end... also some pretty shit kicking throughout the game

Even though they had their moments in attack Milford and Boyds defense cost us dearly
Boyd???????
He had in three of our tries, plenty of tackles and hit ups and we actually looked organised in defence for once youre blaming him?
Milford had some moments in defence but overall was very good too. Our problem was a lack experience and a bit of wisdom at closing out games.
I don't actually think either play cost us a try and Boyd saved at least one with a one-on-one.
If anything young dearden not collecting the ball at the end there was our Achilles and some poor kicking, but otherwise he was very good too.
They will learn from this and him in particular.
I wouldn't be changing too much of that run on 13, and I thought Turpin was outstanding coming back.

It's not that surprising I guess. Defence cost us again. You can't really fix that in a week. It'll be shit for the rest of the season, and hopefully we can get a real quality defensive coach before the offseason starts again.

We should have had proper defensive coach all year, one for the backs and one for the forwards, as do the Roosters. Our management sucks

There are still some positives.

Dearden still looks like a good player in the making.
Farnworth finally had a breakout game.
Turps is quality.
Boyd looked pretty good at fullback (though I guess who really cares, as he won't be here next year anyway).

I dunno how you fix this defence. It'll probably take someone with at least an Oxford degree, I'm guessing.

Question marks over the pass to Mulitalo but Tracey was well onside.

It was a tough loss for the boys but they took some positive strides. With Fifita to return next week they have an opportunity to make ammends next week.

I thought our defence was good when the sharks had multiple sets on our line, Deardens dropped ball but completely changed the outcome, we had them completely defeated at that point.

Milfords stupid bomb after when we needed a sideline kick to slow the game sealed the game.

On the plus side I got to say this has to be our team going forward, our backs played good, and Turpin certainly added something we where missing.

Seibold's half time speeches must be like Adderall
Probably the best second half all season since the resumption. Only the final 10 minutes did us in but that's down to individual error and Cheactchin deciding he wanted a close one. I'd hardly put this loss on the coach.

Flegler - 7 runs, 81 metres, 29 tackles.
Ofahanegaue - 10 runs, 76 metres, 32 tackles.

I wonder who the weak links are in the forward pack...

Didn’t they bring a defensive coach in like 5 weeks ago ? His doing a great job deserves a pay rise 👏

I still want to see a still of where he was off the kick
